The lamp was decent to assemble. However, it does not stand very sturdily. When I try to pull the string to switch the light on, the whole lamp shakes! The bulb connection is pretty loose too. The bulb keeps going on and off. Making use of it because I urgently needed a lamp in my new apartment but would definitely not recommend buying this. Surely not worth the money.

Pull cord doesn’t work, easy install but quality isn’t worthy of the cost!

The lamp is very nice. Has a very heavy bass, I do wish the stand was heavier although it’s not bad. It looks very clean and chic.

I had mine together in about 10 minutes. The bulb is included and is a warm white. You can set the height of the lamp anywhere between 61.8" and 69.3". The base is heavy and has a felt cover on the bottom. The lamp is stable. You can turn the lamp on and off with the pull chain or the step control. The style of this lamp fits in with many different décor styles. I haven't decided whether I'm going to keep it in the living room or move it to the bedroom, but it works with the style of both rooms. The only odd thing about the lamp is that the power cord doesn't run through the base. It comes out of the pole near where it insert into the base and runs across it instead.

I am quite happy with this light overall. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and not nearly as height adjustable as I expected. (I should have paid closer attention to info on the web page.) That said, I moved the light to a different corner of my bedroom and REALLY love it now. The shade is really nice. It was unusual that it was shipped with the shade frame in two pieces the actual 'fabric' (for lack of a better word) rolled up. It was easy to figure out how to get that connected and now I hope that becomes the new standard for lampshades. The only difficult part of putting the lamp together was dealing with the plastic. I suggest keeping scissors handy. The instructions are brief and laid out well. I had it put together in less than 15 minutes.

I wanted a taller floor lamp that would match another floor lamp that I currently have that has the same design. There are some issues with this floor lamp the first being the fact that I have been using this lamp for the past week and I still have not worked out the best way to turn off and on the lamp. There is a button attached to the cord on the ground that you can press with your foot as well as a pull chain with a wooden button at the end of it that is a nice design touch. Depending on the order of me either pressing the button and pulling the chain I have found that sometimes it doesn't turn on and I end up having to do the opposite of what I first attempted as you can imagine this can be quite frustrating. There is a noticeable lean to the floor lamp that I received and I can not seem to make it straighter through reassembling it. I think if you are looking for a floor lamp I would recommend for you to consider another one and preferably one that comes with a remote control, which would make it much more straightforward in regard to how to turn on and off the lamp and you will have more control over the light that the lamp emits.

I got this floor lamp for my office. Fluorescent lights (at least the harsh, cheap ones found in offices) bother my eyes and will eventually give me a headache. With this floor lamp + a desk lamp, I can keep the fluorescents off in my office. I picked this lamp over others mainly because it is adjustable in height (from approximately 62" to 70"), a feature I had not seen before in a floor lamp. I was able to adjust it to the perfect height. You can also turn it on/off by either a pull chain on the lamp itself or a foot switch in the cord, which you step on to turn it on/off. Very hand extra features not seen in most lamps, especially at this price.
