Thermoskin Thermal Wrist/Hand Brace with Dorsal Stay Right Medium 17-19cm

I purchased this product to wear at night to help with carpal tunnel syndrome; my doctor had advised me to wear a wrist brace overnight. I already own a brace from another manufacturer which was helping, but I wanted a spare to alternate with to give me more time to wash and dry them.A friend gave me the slightly cheaper Thermoskin brace with only one stay. It was a "small" size which proved to be far too tight on me, but the fabric was soft and comfortable so I decided to buy something from the same company. Having measured my wrist (16.25cm) and already knowing that the 14-16cm version was unsuitable I went for the "medium", 17-19cm version. This proved to be OK over the wrist itself - if anything a bit too large but by allowing the strap to overlap it worked - but further up my arm it's still too tight. As you can see from the photo I have a gap where the velcro comes into contact with my skin, which is itchy and unpleasant.I also find that the area around my thumb doesn't align the way it does in the manufacturer's photos. This could be because it's a little too large for me, but from close examination it seems more like a design fault, the positioning of the clasp on the back of the hand seems far too low. The result is that the fit on my hand is rather loose, allowing more movement that it should.I think this product would be OK if the first few inches of your arm are the same size as your wrist. If your wrist is slimmer I'd recommend you go for a "one size fits all" product as it will probably have better adjustability.

Thought this was wonderful until the end (2inch approx) of the main strap broke away thus leaving it unwearable. I’ve not had it a month yet. Very disappointed as it wasn’t cheap.
