Let me start with the fact that I received this for free to participate in beta testing.The testing is now finished, and I'm continuing to use the bulb. I initially was to use it with my Google Assistant / Home, and it worked well with that (once I figured things out). I'm now using it with my Alexa device(s) and all seems to be working well at least for turning on/off and changing color. I haven't linked it via BT for music mode and don't tend to use the scene function. I like the brightness of the bulb and the ability to dim it if desired, and to be able to control either through Alexa, Google or the Vont app.

So we are way more impressed by these than we even thought. I ordered them, and they showed up within 2 days. Installation is literally screwing in a lightbulb, which only took one person. The app is easy to use, and easily integrated with Alexa. We ended up putting these in our family room. We love the fact that you can adjust the lights to the movie you're watching. The default, warm white is bright and definitely warm; I often worry I'll get a cool, almost bluish white, but this was identical to the warm white bulbs we were replacing. My husband set up Alexa so when I said out loud "Alexa, set the mood to Frozen", all three bulbs in that room turned to Elsa Blue. My 5 year old was delighted! I honestly bought the bulbs since I can control them with an app and use an internal timer (so that the living room is always illuminated whether I go in there or not) and had no idea what I would even use the colors for, but after watching my daughter watch Frozen I was convinced there is a use for that too. These are such a low price my husband wants to kit out the entire house with them. Just the thought of knowing my kid left their light on upstairs and I could shut it off with an app without physically having to go up there and turn it off seemed like a dream, but now that's a reality. These are incredible.

I wanted to replace a bulky smart plug with a smart bulb in order to add a dimming feature to an old lamp used on a bedside end table. This bulb was easy to set up and seems okay, with a few caveats. The only fairly bright setting is achieved by toggling on the “warm white” switch in the app ( warm white is close to “orange” on the color wheel, but the light it generates is much brighter). Unfortunately, you cannot access this brighter setting when using ALEXA. There is no way to get any of the other colors that bright … even at 100% the light is significantly reduced … so to illuminate the room at maximum level, you are stuck with “warm light”. I’m not sure if this failing can be addressed with a firmware or software update — if it can be fixed, it should be. Clearly the bulb is capable of producing a brighter light, but only in that one orangey color. I mostly bought the bulb to limit exposure to blue light before going to sleep, and it works well in that regard. It dims to 10%, but to completely darken the room you have to shut it off completely. The app is okay — it took two tries to do the firmware update and it was very slow. I imagine that is because the bulb can’t connect to 5g Wi-Fi — which is much faster on my router. Your phone and the bulb can be on different wi-fi, so that’s a plus. All in all, it’s been fun to play with the light and try out different levels and colors. I like the dimming functionality, but I’m not a fan of pulsing light scenes. If there were an option for brighter light levels at varying color temperatures, I would enthusiastically recommend it, since it’s significantly less expensive than similar bulbs … but it seems to be barely adequate for reading. It’s fine for ambiance, but you probably will need an additional light source for reading or tasks.

The bulbs are just what I was looking for however, after 3 days one stopped working. I contacted the vender, after doing a bit of trouble shooting it was decided the bulb was defective. They shipped 2 bulbs out as a replacement AND expedited the freight! I had the replacement in 2 days!! It does not get any better than this folks!!

These are great value, but they could be a little brighter. The regular white/warm light is average, but the colors are very dim, only good for creating a certain mood or atmosphere as opposed to lighting up a room.Also, I wish the app had more features. Integrating these lights with music doesn't do much except causing the light to pulse sort of to the sounds. One feature I wish it had was being able to have all the lights turn on when just one of them is turned on. This could save people from doing extra wiring to connect all the lights to the same power source.I also wish there was siri/homekit integration, but at the least they should create a widget for the app which lets you quickly control the lights without going into the app.Hopefully they can add these in the future.

I'm impressed with the bulbs. I'm not particularly tech savvy but found theses easy & fun to use. I love the color mode. They are in bedroom lamps so I like they can be used like night lights & be dim when needed. I am a beta tester, but wouldn't hesitate to purchase them for other rooms.

Vont customer support is par none, every company could learn from their model.The blubs had/have some bluetooth issues here and there and can loose connection.Some bulbs will not provide warm white light, but the color wheel works around it.The music, environment, and programming functions are exceptional.Vont also drops a few giveaways in there bulb boxes, and gives you points towards free products.Free, no gimmick, a couple of those go a long way.The Alexa integration covers basic functions, scenes, environments, and special features do not translate over well and need the remote.

I had ordered a 4 pk of these to try out and I loved them! I ordered 1 each for my 2 eldest granddaughters (Pre and early teens) Christmas Eve, None of my gifts bought through Amazon had arrived. So I ran and got the boys something from Dollar Gen and took out 2 of the 4 bulbs and gave those to my granddaughters. They Loved them each thanking me in her own turn! Its not easy to win with girls that age. I[m just so glad they liked them!
