This net is designed for the trailer, or for miniature horses for slow feeding meals. It has 1.5" mesh openings, measures 2.6'x2′ and holds up to 13 pounds of forage hay. Comes with a large carabineer for hanging and a spares kit with repair cord.

Durable
I had two of these nets that I purchased 10 years ago, and I just started to use them again, I have a pony that “frets” so I started putting her hay in a hay net. I noticed she actually eats all the hay when she has to pull it out of the net, if I toss it in her tub, she wastes a lot more. And with the prices of hay… she better eat it all 😳.The net keeps her busy too. And the mini size is perfect for a pony size flake.I also use it when my horses are tied to the horse trailer, there’s no lose of feed all over the ground and it’s small enough I don’t have to worry about the net being too long.

Very small mesh
This feeder net is small. A slice or maybe a bit more is about all you can effectively place in it. Also, the mesh is very tight making it quite difficult for most livestock larger than a goat to actually remove the contents. My alpacas hate this bag and will locate every other food source before trying to pull hay from it. However, the 4 star rating is because the bag itself has held up well with limited use for nearly 6 months and does accurately match the description (my own fault for purchasing something may too small).

Great hay bag but…
This is a great bag- it slows the horses’ eating down, beautifully. So far, it’s holding up well to teeth, and it’s easy to fill and hang. I highly recommend it! Addendum: one horse chewed right through it, maybe it’s fixable!

Easy to use and durable.
These hay nets are really easy to use and slow my horses eating down so they have something to do for longer periods of time, allowing small amounts of food to move through their gut to keep them happier for longer periods of time, less waste of hay. I use multiple small trailer size nets so I can spread them throughout their paddock so they move around which helps to mimic the natural movement they would get if they were in a large pasture.

Very Soft Material Comfortable for Horses
My horses prefer this feeder because it is soft, not like the coarse ones of rough twine. They are able to get every piece of hay out eventually.
