Fibaro Motion Sensor

Okay, don’t bother with this sensor.The light sensor is not exactly accurate and it can not be used for other automations. Just a tile in homekit.The move sensor response time to active the device is about 10 seconds, that’s a lot. Then the movement detection area is about 2 meters. So it will not cover a room! Very frustrating. I.e: turn the lights off if no movement is detected, detection is triggered only in the entrance of the room so your lights will go off anyway. Useless!The temperature sensor is off by about 3c and again can not be used to trigger automation, i.e turn on the fan if temp is greater than..Really don’t know how this got past Apple! First time ever I have a bad experience with homekit (and I have many devices!)I strongly recommend you avoid this device. Even if you ignore the extortion price, the functionality of the device is rubbish.

Small and discrete. Measures 3 factors - movement, temperature, and brightness - which can then trigger other actions thru HomeKit scenarios. Simple to install. Not cheap, but does the job.

I purchased the HomeKit unit, its a lot slower to respond than say the Philips Hue motion sensor, and also doesn't give alerts unless you configure it through the HomeKit app.I think the zigbee one probably has more features. I wouldn't recommend this over the Philips Hue motion sensors.

Synchronizes with Homekit fine, however there is significant lag between the sensor detecting motion and carrying our the associated action, regardless of how close/far the devices are to the Homekit Hub. Also, the temperature sensor is around 3 degrees to high all of the time - checked against other sensors (smart and non-smart). This may not sound like a lot, however when you're integrating this with other smart home products it makes a difference. Item returned.

Great little device, little bit too sensitive as sometimes picks up motion from down the hall in another room.Hides away really well when not in use as I white all over.Would be great if the eye graphic on the packaging was an actual thing when it’s in use.
