Thoroughly entertaining
Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish, the relationship between Twitten and Mrs G developed beautifully, can't wait to start Psyco by the sea.

Read the previous books first
Great read. You need to read the other books first otherwise some of the plot lines won’t make sense.Just about to start the next one.

I only received the first chapter.
I paid my money & only received the first chapter. Going to the Amazon website I found the instructions for this eventuality & followed them to no avail. I 'phoned the number given only to be told it was no longer in use & to try a web address. I tried that but it could not be reached.Probably there is a way round this that a five year old could find, as long as they had a masters in computer science. But I am 77yrs with a background in biology. So I would say Lynne Truss 8/10 on what I have read & Amazon 0/10.

Nostalgia in a bottle!
If you’re a baby boomer like me, you'll smile at the references to the Milk Marketing Board campaign and other touches that set this clever, funny, rather surreal murder mystery firmly in the Fifties. I think it's the best one yet and I'm deferring the pleasure of the latest book in the series as I don't want to over indulge and feel that awful end of book feeling you get when the writing is so good you want it to go on for ever.

Another hit
The third in the series. It's one of those books that, when you're nearer the end than the beginning, you begin to lament that it'll be another year until the next instalment (hopefully). The characters are captured brilliantly. Mrs Groynes, the charlady, has a special resonance for me as she reminds me so much of the larger than life cockney mum of an old friend of mine. I also live in Brighton, which makes it even more relevant, but that wouldn't sustain my interest in itself. The truth is these books are just a great read. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this marvellous series.
