Honor Among Men
Honor among men Honor is the word, This team tackles (sometimes literally) the bad guys other won't or can't. The men will do whatever it takes despite the danger. During one of these situations, Mark ends up in the hospital and is well cared for by Nuse Mia. Mia isn't only doing her duty as a regular nurse, surgical nurse, she has a special patient besides Mark.Mark's humor brightens those around him and belies his terrifying early years. His interest in Mia is new. He doesn't want a woman to have to continually say goodbye not knowing if he'll come home. Still, this is one woman he just can't resist. The team has a special bond, Accepting Mia into their circle is special. The personal problems of these guys become the problem of them all and they share their time to solve it. The romance is steamy and sweet. Their relationship is what they both need, yet these two don't share their history easily. Can they come together and learn to share with the other,I read this book out of order and had no problem getting the relationships of these wonderful characters. I have gone back to get the rest of the series and look forward to reading and listening to the others,Reviewed For Words Turn Me On

A lot to keep up with but I liked it a lot
There's a lot to like in Honor and the only reason it loses a star is that there is almost too much going on to keep up with it all. That said, the love story between Mark and Mia is excellent and while their path wasn't easy, it was a good one to read about. I'll skip the synopsis but would give it 5-stars for well developed characters, 5-stars for heat and 5-stars for holding my interest.Mia is a nurse and there's a whole big story about how and why she's working at a hospital in North Dakota. Mark is part of a special forces team and his backstory tracks couple of decades earlier to his youth. This part of the book will tug at your heartstrings. They meet when Mark sustains an injury and Mia is one of his nurses at the hospital. Their relationship grows with mutual respect and with a good dose of humor tossed in. Another plus for Honor is the brotherhood between Mark and his teammates. These are all good, alpha men who would take a bullet for their loved ones and their brothers-in-arms. There are several bedroom scenes and these are descriptive and well-written without going over the top. Mia and Mark are well matched on several levels including in the bedroom.I felt like this book was a tad longer than it needed to be and I count five stories that are fighting for time in it. Some of those are critical to the book but others... not so much. Absolutely worth the read despite that and I'm glad that I read it. It made me smile a lot.

Love Mark
Gosh I love Mark, who wouldn’t. I even love, Abigail more and more as I learn more about her past, with taking Mark in as one of her own along with Cole and his family. She just melts my heart. This is a really great spinoff/continuation to our Blackstone team and I love everyone of course, I just hate learning about Marks past, it’s so sad and heartbreaking. I don’t even know how, Mark would of survived if he had of never meet Abigail. If it wasn’t for them I don’t think he would of had the better life that he did. Mark is so funny, I just love his silliness as always. He’s always got some joke up his sleeve, making you laugh or cheering you up, but there’s one thing for sure, he really takes his job seriously and truly has a good heart and would do anything for Abby and his boys, especially Cole.My freedom lasted an hour and a half before Nurse Vikki Taylor found me. Her arms were folded over her large chest, her scrubs were a bright lime green, and her—yup—Crocs had little decals through the toes. No comment. “Mr. Lopez,” her eyes narrowed in on me, “what on earth are you doing out of bed?” “I wanted to see you again.” I flashed her a killer smile. “Do you feel that?” “What?” she asked. “That.” I carefully reached for her hand and saw her blush as she glanced at the other ladies watching. “The connection we have.” She rolled her eyes, but I could tell I had her. “Oh, Nurse Taylor, what is going on inside that beautiful head of yours?” “Mr. Lopez.” She scowled but didn’t remove her hand from mine. “Are you thinking inappropriate thoughts about me?” “No!” Her voice went up, but she loved this. “You are a dirty little nurse, aren’t you?” I rose to my unsteady feet. “Look, now you’re making the other ladies blush.” I laughed, but then I saw Mia walking next to Dr. Evans, who waved goodbye before she spotted me. “Mr. Lopez, bed, now!” Nurse Taylor flicked her wrist toward my door. “Move it along.” “Okay, okay.” I raised my hand then turned and heard them gasp at my bare ass. “Just something to remember me by, ladies.” Someone laughed. “Oh, he’s terrible!” “I’d bite it!” someone else chimed in. I waved over my shoulder and shut the door to the cell behind me.When Mark, meets Mia he can’t help but like her from the beginning. Mia is a sweet loving and caring nurse, who loves what she does. She has a big heart and would give anything to help the people she loves. I couldn’t help but like her from the very start and become team Mia and Mark. They both are perfect for each other and just what they both need.Their family bond was just as large as this house. The men were funny and joked around a lot. Mark had my jaw dropping with the amount of food he inhaled. Dell leaned over and whispered, “He’ll still have room for dessert too.” My gaze went to his. “No way!” “Five bucks he’ll go for—” Dell leaned behind me to look at the dessert table, “—a quarter of the apple crisp, three chocolate chip cookies, and Abigail will get him and Keith a glass of milk.” I sneaked a peek at Keith, who still had a mountain of food to get through. Mark was polishing off a chicken leg but still had lots on his plate. There was no way they could possibly squeeze in dessert. “You’re on.” I shook his hand under the table. So like I’ve said before I love these characters and don’t want to let them go. And I’m also glad there’s one more book that’s about Keith. I’m also praying it doesn’t turn out to be the last book, I could see many story’s written about these characters. This story is a nice read and of course a full five stars for me. So if your not sure wether to read it or not, five stars should tell you a lot. Don’t think twice you’ll love it and it won’t disappoint. Double thumbs up for me once again.I could truly hold my head high with honor. I knew, because I was finally free of any doubt that I was a good and honorable man.

Mark and Mia are WOW!!
Where do I begin to describe how much I loved this book? I was sucked right in and didn't want to leave the pages. The characters have so much depth to them, enough so that they could step off the pages into real life and interact with you. They seem like real people, having faults like you and me. Mark and Mia have real feelings like doubts, fears, and hopes. You can feel their emotions as if they were sharing them with you. The action scenes come across as if they were playing out before you. You can almost hear the ammunition as they go past your head and feel the impact of the hits as they land. The locations are described so clearly that you can see them, from the squalor and dirt of Mexico in the poor sections of town to the lush mountains of Montana. Throughout this book, you can feel the sincere wishes of both Mark and Mia for love to flourish and that they can make the relationship work for them, despite the physical distance between them. When danger comes calling, both rise to the challenge and find ways to circumvent the perils. No matter what, love will prevail for these two. It may be a hard-fought battle, but the result is very much worth the effort. No two people deserve a happily ever after than Mark and Mia.

Heartrending Roller Coaster - Just like real life.
Good insight into the effects of childhood trauma affecting grown up people, without them realising the huge influence that such traumas carry into adulthood.

Mark and Mia
It is a great story. However there are a few times where I feel like some information has gotten lost, which makes the story a little confusing. But in general the story is great. It is definitely worth reading.

No cliffhanger
The first trip of books had to be read in order as the storyline was continuous to the end of book 3. This book is about Mark, best friend of Major Cole Logan from those same books. He has something hanging over him from his past and he cannot shake it off. Meeting Mia helps, but he needs to confront his demon.
