Corel Express Failure
I have 4 Corel products: Corel Wordperfect X2, Corel Intervideo DVD Copy, Corel PDF Fusion, Corel Videostudio Express 2010. The best is Corel Wordperfect X2 (9/10), followed by Intervideo DVD Copy (7/10 - burned video discs have a few glitches not noted in the original videos), followed by PDF Fusion (6.6/10 - editor function is confusing and inserted text size is grossly prominent in comparison to the rest of the pdf text + no way to shrink inserted text to size of original pdf text), and the worst is Corel Videostudio Express 2010 (0-1/10 - which I will further elaborate in this review). Therefore, I have enough experience with Corel software use. To date, the Corel Videostudio Express 2010 is the worst Corel product I have used. My project is a multi-video music disc consisting of more than 60+ music videos. When selecting the folder for this project, the software noted the folder on the desktop, but did not display all the music videos (all were avi format) and the videos were not alphabetized (scattered). I selected the videos I wanted and proceeded further in the dvd video creation step. After selecting the menu, the next step was the burning step. However, the software would not proceed to that step due to the number of videos being burned for best quality. It is this step that continues to bog down the progress of burning any video project. At this point, I decided to delete/remove videos from this project until I had the appropriate size for burning. Before reaching the appropriate size for burning, the software froze up and stated that it needs to close. In my second and third tries, I switched from the best quality to the least quality. My second try ended in a software error. In my third try, I succeeded in shrinking my dvd music project to the appropriate size for video burning. I proceeded to this step and the software crashed. I tried this software on 2 different laptops (HP, Acer), with different processors (64 bit intel pentium duo core processor, 32 bit intel celeron M processor) with different operating systems (Windows Vista, Windows XP). Yet, the results were the same - software crashes without any disc burning. With such consistent poor results across 2 different laptops, the software is greatly flawed. I have sent 2 feedback emails to Corel without any response from them. Therefore, if anyone purchases this software, there is no tech support, no updates, and no user guide/manual. This software's performance is a 0/5, and it's template a 1/5. Save your money for better quality performing video creation software that has better customer support/service.

BUMMER
THIS PROGRAM DID NOT DO MY COMPUTER ANY JUSTICE...MY COMPUTER WOULD FREEZE UP WHEN I TRIED TO USE THIS DISC, HOWEVER, MY HUNDRED YEAR OLD DESKTOP COMPUTER CONSOLE IS PROBABLY OUTDATED IN TERMS OF TECHNOLOGY AND I PLAN TO TRY IT AGAIN WITH MY NEW LAPTOP. THANKS FOR GETTING ME SUPER EXCITED WITH A BRAND NEW DISC. ITS THE NEWEST PIECE O TECH I HAD FOR ALONG TIME. THE ITEM CAME IN ON TIMWE AND THE TRANSACTION WAS FINE TOO. THANK YOU

If you are a beginner in video edition this is a very basic video editor. I am using it in an old PC with windows vista 32 bits.

I love this product, great service and it got here fast. I have already made some great memories with this product and they turned out really nice. So this is great for the money.

Got what I paid for
I think I paid $10 for this and it does work. I will avoid this brand in the future. It's bloatware at it's best. To install and get the updates takes an hour. I installed another product with more features in 30 seconds!

Corel video studio 2010
This program is probably good for a general consumer doing home films. I was testing different products when I purchased this. I am doing professional work and needed a more flexible program.

Works ok, but the interface is difficult to use
Initially I was very happy with this software because it allowed my computer to finally view the HD videos I had made on my camcorder, but was unable to view on my computer.

Having tried Adobe Premiere Elements previously, I found this much easier to use. For someone like me, who just wants to edit videos to share with friends and family, Corel Video...

Ug.... A day of my life I will never get back.....
I keep getting an error that would stop me dead in my tracks of editing a video :( I pushed through the HUNDREDS of times it kicked me out, only to get done and I was not be able...

Might be okay, if only I could get it to work!
I couldn't even get this to run on my computer. I guess it's a compatibility issue. I tried, but it just wouldn't run on my computer.
