Q: I just got a new bike and i don't know how to order tubes. i did a search for 700x25c, kenda. this tube came up. will this work?

As long as your tires are the 700x23 or 25 this tube will work fine.

Q: Is the valve stem confirmed as smooth (not threaded as the box appears to show)? Silver in color or brass?

Yes it's smooth not threaded, and is brass in color.

Q: what does smooth valve mean?

It means that the valve stem is not threaded. It really makes no difference, I interchange them. But if you like to use that little 'nut' on your valve stem to 'pull' the tube closer to the rim a smooth valve will not allow this. I hope you found this helpful!

Q: Can I use this in place of a tube that is a schrader valve now?

There is an adapter that can be used to resize the rim valve hole to fit the presta valve stem. Without the adapter it would put too much pressure on the tube and would cause a leak.
