In short, I've been through a few buffer/polishers here on Amazon and none of them compared to this Dura-Gold polisher especially at the price it is. It has plenty of torque, it has the display showing speed and it is very comfortable to use. You'll be blown away by the number of pads it comes with AND, it actually WORKS!Long winded review below:I've been restoring a '57 Cadillac. I have a pneumatic sander and when looking up disks for it, I happened to find "Dura-Gold" sanding disks. I found that they have a huge assortment of grits and the price/quantity was something I was comfortable with. So I started buying Dura-gold brand sanding disks for the body work.Fast forward a few months when I am preparing to paint the car. I searched for regular sand paper and bought Dura-Gold 1500 & 2000 grit sheets. Again, quantity and price were good.Recently the paint was ready to be worked on and polished. I realized I needed a buffer/polisher so I searched for a cheaper polisher that had the assorted pads that I'd need. I settled on something that was in the $80 range. When it arrived, the wool pad was tiny and cheap, and the actual buffer lasted all of 10 seconds, so it was returned.I resumed my search for a lower price (didn't want to spend $200+ for a Makita) but higher quality buffer and came across THIS Dura-gold polisher/buffer. It has/had 0 reviews but I figured I'd take a chance because I already knew Dura-gold quality from their sand paper. I received the box which was filled with assorted pads as well as the buffer in a separate box. I opened that and was surprised with a real, full size wool buffing/polishing pad like a professional would use which stunned me. It also has the PAD TOOL to prep the wool pad with once it is used - something that no other cheaper polisher I saw came with and I didn't even really think about it until I saw it (it would have been another purchase and another wait for it). There are so many accessories I was amazed. I installed the wool pad, primed it and off I went to work.The polisher has plenty of torque that it doesn't bog down. It has a slow start so the machine doesn't jump out of your hands when you start it. The indicator on it shows me what speed I am going so there is no question unlike the cheap buffer/polishers that just have a dial 1-6 and you have no idea what speed is what. The "top" handle is comfortable if you use it but you can also hold it up front ahead of the rotary part which is very convenient and again, unlike a lot of the other machines out there. It comes with extra brushes in case you need to replace them. The unit does heat up but it doesn't get overly hot. I did my entire 1957 Cadillac Sedan, which is a huge car, and this polisher never missed a beat.See attached photos.Good on ya Dura-Gold! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Handle fell off after first use,kept screwing it back on,finally had to use w/o it.Kept getting hot and I had ordered electrical cord per voltage for this unit,so exchanging for a new one.I like that u can change running voltage,seemed like it would be a good unit,maybe I got a lemon,will see.If next one is like this will get a refund.Will see how good customer service is,well,customer service was wonderful!! After getting the unit back,I only sent back the buffer,they sent me a whole new unit complete w/everything,very impressed👍🙂Will start back to work on truck Mon and see how new unit does.I hope great bc seems like a great company.Impressed w/customer service 5 stars on customer service

When you've been working for a while, it smells like it's burning. The quality of the engine isn't very good. I think it won't hold up to four or five more jobs like today.please I ask the manufacturer of this tool to improve the quality of the motor, because it is the best I have used.

Everything works well. The buffing pad (sheepskin) sheds excessively. Clean off all lose strands before use or you end up with a mess.

After being quoted to detail my boat for 800 bucks I started to YouTube and learn how! I got this polisher and started to play with it and over all it is a great beginner tool. The only thing I don’t like is every time to let go of the trigger it restarts the power voltage

Have only used this once. Applied and removed paste wax to my rv. Works as advertised
