'Give Me A Reason' is a really engaging single-dad/ bad boy/ enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance. I really enjoyed it.Eden, a teacher, needs a second job and goes to work for Trent at his club. However, these two instantly dislike each other, and from here sparks and tension immediately follow. This book has so many layers. There was great chemistry between the two main characters. There was an excellent plot. There were darker elements and forces at play, plus a couple of excellent plot twists I personally didn't see coming.I really liked the two main characters. They were relatable, felt realistic and definitely had me rooting for them both. There was plenty of chemistry and sparkle for this couple, and there was some excellent secondary characters that really added to the story and to the world the author created. This is part of a series, but also a complete standalone novel, told in dual pov. I highly recommend for readers who enjoy a twist at the end of a story.

what a book
I have never read a book like this before. It’s one long book of poetry. Full of strange wisdom, love and conflict that makes you question what your reading and digs in soul deep.

5 🌟 to the highest mountain and back
This author is an absolute genius. Her ability to describe scenes is like no other. I love her writing style so much. A.L. Jackson has a way of describing people's appearance, mannerisms, feelings and temperament like no other author I have come across. Her ability to bring characters and events to life is amazing.Every single book I have read has kept me engaged from start to finish. This was no different.Trent is everything Eden never knew she needed and Eden is everything Trent wants to stay away from, but can't.Then there is Gage! That boy stole my heart. He was a beacon of light, when things got dark. He was sweet and funny and impossible not to love instantly. This story was so fast paced, I couldn't put it down. I was all 'just one more chapter' right up to the end.A.L. Jackson has been a favourite of mine for many, many years. I honestly can't fault any of her books.

When Trent finds Eden in his club, waiting for an interview, he can’t believe his eyes. She sticks out like a sore thumb - too pure, too innocent, too 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙. But she’s insistent on working there, add in the fact that he’s undeniably attracted to her, and he can’t help but give the fierce little kitten a chance.Trent isn’t wrong about Eden, she is too innocent for his club. But she’s also desperate to save her father’s school and knows she can make quick money by taking a second job there. Could this end up being the worst decision either of them have ever made?Talk about grumpy/sunshine! Trent is gruff, stoic, dangerous, but also a wonderful father, protective, and loyal. He can’t explain the electrical charge, the draw he has to Eden. And seeing how she cares for his son only increases his unwanted attraction to her.Eden is torn over her feelings towards Trent. She knows he’s dangerous, that he has a violent past, and will likely tear her heart to shreds. But she also knows that he’s caring, and would do 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 to protect those he loves. She sees the good in him that he refuses to believe exists.Gage is the cutest little chatterbox and it’s so sweet how quickly he and Eden fall for each other. Possibly even faster than Eden and Trent fall. There were a few points where Trent’s behaviour or actions didn’t seem to fit his character in my opinion though. There’s a plot twist at the end that I guessed but it was still a “gasp” moment.

Absolutely beautiful
This is the first booking the series and I'm looking forward to reading the rest. Trent has a secret past and Eden is also struggling with her own family issues, but it's beautiful how everything came together.Easy 5 stars from me.

Another great read
Great story between the bad boy Trent and the good girl Eden. Two opposite sides of the coin, brought together by Eden's need to help her dad.Eden is the good girl, kindergarten and Sunday school teacher with her dad the preacher and general advocate of all things good and community service.Trent is a club owner, ex MC VP with a past that seem to haunt him, with his only concern being his son and brothers. They are brought together and although have nothing in common have incredible chemistry and a magnetic pull towards one another. This is The story of facing demons and how fate always seems to have a plan you never saw comingBrilliant read, Gage is an amazing character and I can't wait to hear more from the brothers..

fantastic
This book gripped me from the beginning. There were parts that were positively poetic and I loved the slow reveal of the story, with a twist I never expected
