Holding up well with an aggressive eater. No holes after 2 months.

I bought this for my small appaloosa that can not chew any normal hay since the day an "equine dentist" came an electrically filed off his teeth so where they can not meet top to bottom to chew anymore. I chop his hay in a leaf chopper and thought the finest holes in this net would be the best so the fine pieces wouldn't just fall out on the ground but found the holes are a bit too small. It may work for mini's but I'm desperate to feed this horse his beloved hay but will have to stick with soaking cubes. He just misses his hay! He'll steal his buddy's hay but spits out long twirled wads with nothing being swallowed. The net seems good though

I am very happy with the smaller openings. Lightweight, seems sturdy so far, and is the perfect size for one flake of hay that I feed every 3 hours after soaking to keep my mare occupied. She is recovering from laminitis. and unable to go out on pasture. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because it is hard to fill. The top opening is not wide enough to fit over a tub to fill. It is very difficult to keep the hay bag open with one hand, and and fill it at the same time with the other hand.

I have 2 miniature horses and this is the second purchase I have made of the 'greedy feeder haynet'. The first 2 have held up well. I have been using them for about10 months. They have gotten a little stretched but still work well. I ordered 2 more just so I have them on hand to fill if the weather is inclement. Will definitely purchase again.

We have other bags that work fine, but they're unwieldy and just too big in some applications. This smaller bag is in the "goldilocks zone" of being the perfect size and having the smaller holes.
