Rid-XHolding Tank Deodorizer

This product is the answer. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Bought a travel trailer that had the black water tank left full for years. It dried out and became solid. It was totally impossible to drain. Tried back flushing by lifting with the drain hose, several types of chemicals, etc. Nothing worked. I put this stuff in there and left it for 5 days. It just drained out, not even a clump left. These are the "good bugs" that your septic tank uses and they work to break down waste like you can't believe. Nasty subject.... great product. I"ll never use anything else. Controls odors also.

Working in the RV industry in several different roles, owning play travel trailers and now full timing in a 5th wheel I've tried about everything on the market. I'm not able to buy this locally anymore so of course I came to Amazon. In my opinion this is the best tank treatment and deodorizer out there (Happy Camper being 2nd if I can't get my hands on this). Even when it is over 100° for days on end you won't smell your black tank! I've pointed many friends and customers towards this and they are always so happy with how well it works.

Works great. We have been having issues in our rv and our sensors would not come clean. Until now. This stuff is fantastic, clearing up all of our smell issues, cleaning the tanks and also cleaning our sensors. I would recommend to any one with an rv. I re ordered this and this is what I got. Came open in package and spilled out everywhere. They really need to do better on shipping this item.

This is a weaker version of Rid-X that is used in home septic tanks. Use this version only if you are pouring it into an RV waste tank, the home version could damage your tanks. It works well and better than most other tank cleaning chemicals but like those its effect will be limited unless you can leave it in your tank for several days and slosh it around by driving. This is my second purchase of two bottles each.

I used this in our '92 Ford Mallard RV. I don't think they had a great design for the black water tank back then. The tank smelled absolutely terrible until I used a bit of this stuff. You don't need much to get rid of the smell. This stuff works great. Super concentrated. Try just a 1/4 cup at first and see if that does the trick for you before you go wasting a bunch of it. A little goes a long way!

The only toilet stuff that actually liquefied everything and doesn't let things stink, I have tried everything out there this is the only thing that works.

We put almost 1/4 the bottle in the black tank with clean water. Left it for 2 weeks. We have a light that continually says 3/4 full. We were hoping it would clean that sensor. NOPE We did flush the tank 3 times first, then filled it with the chemical. Left town for 6 days, partially drained the tank, put a little more in just for good measure and left it for another 7 days. Nope still shows 3/4 full and I just flushed it again 2 times. I just cant find anything to clean this thing.

The product worked very good. I use it in my black rv tank. I would recommend and will buy again.My only complaint is, the delivery. They didn't indicate that there was liquid in the box. It spilled. If it hadn't spilled i would give it 5 stars.

Strong smelling but that's what you want in this case. Keep this in a strong ziplock bag.
