Excellent product
We recently returned from a vacation in Japan and really enjoyed creating our own pot soups as we ate at our table. The item was too expensive to pack home but this purchase is precisely what we wanted. Good quality, authentic, good value.

versatile and well made
I love everything about this cast iron pot. I use it for everything from simmer pots to stove-to-oven dishes. The stand is perfect. I often heat it on the stove and use the sterno stand to keep whatever I've made warm.

After using it for a while I have to update my review
It is not cast iron. After using for about half a year, the inner bottom started to peel. A cast iron pot will not peel. It may get some rust but never peeling. I've thrown it away because I feel unsafe using it to cook.Below was my 1st reviewThe quality is lower than I expected (also lower than the one I purchased from another vendor last year, but the price is the same). The wood cover is pretty thin and I am not sure it's safe for cooking.

Fantastic!
I honestly love this but I don’t use it for it’s intended purpose. I do use it as a simmer pot on my alter. I love it!

Not food safe
Update: so the box says cast iron with enamel coating. Why would they do that??? Still doesn’t sound food grade safe. Enamel coatings are not healthy anyway.—————————————-This is not real cast iron. Just a coating. Nothing about this feels safe for cooking. I had a feeling it was cheap and fake but I purchased for brewing to create sent in my home. Like cinnamon sticks, clove and dry orange slices in water. Something witchy if you may. I hope it’s not so cheap that burning the coating is toxic for me and my pet. If I had an issue with this item I hope to update my review.

The quality is so bad.
That's not a real cast iron pot. And they sent defective pot . I started peeling the bottom of the pot after using it a couple of times. The quality is so bad.also I want to return, but the return period has passed.
