Wow! Just freakin wow
I wish I ordered this sooner! I used it yesterday fir ten min and omg my skin feels amazing today! This is a holy grail item now fir me! I waited because I wasn’t sure what it even was for , but after I used it then applied moisturizer after a clean face it felt amazing! I could feel my face flush, lots of blood rushing to the skin.. which is good! But didn’t cut or scrape my skin, after a bit of the redness went away my face felt so plump and fresh. Wow I’m not even kidding I can’t wait to use this again. Also the price is 12$ right now which is a steal fir this brand! Julep you rocked it! Thank you!

Horrible
The media could not be loaded. Does not roll freely. Scratched my skin. Cheaply made product.

Great for Beginners
Microneedling is all the rage-on the other hand, I don't want to spend $300 for someone to roll tiny needles across my face. And yet, the idea of using one of these to ensure my serums are more effective is intriguing. At 47, I admit to being a bit of a fanatic when it comes to my skincare. I religiously wash my face before bed-I use anti-aging products )after thorough research, and I treat myself to a facial occasionally. In short, I take care of my skin, and I'm pretty happy with the results.I'd been reading about microneedling, and while you can find info negating anything, for the most part the reviews are either positive or neutral, so when i saw this I figured I'd give it a try-LOT cheaper than having it done professionally! It arrived in a hard case-as others have mentioned, the case is a cheap plastic, but it is hard and it does have grooves for the roller to sit securely in. As mentioned, I washed it thoroughly before the first use, and I do so before each use thereafter-wouldn't want any bacteria to get under your skin! (this is made clear on the directions). As others have mentioned, it does not hurt, there is a slight tingling sensation, but nothing offensive, I do feel as if my serums settles quicker when I use this. I only use it two to three times a week, and for me that works well so far. Ultimately, at this price point this is a good buy for someone interested in microneedling-it's easy to do yourself, quick and painless to boot. On the other hand, I don't necessarily think this is a must when it comes to skin care. The right serum/moisturizer is going to work for your skin regardless-in short this is somewhat of a fad for me, but it's a fun and quirky little addition to your skincare routine.

Great roller from a trusted company
I've been a fan of Julep ever since being introduced to them at that great big cosmetic megastore, the one that started in France. Y'all know the one I mean.I've had many incarnations of this type of product, and I'm so pleased that a company that I trust is putting one out. Most of the others are from fly by night companies that seem to be in business one week, and out of business in the next. All that aside, there are many things to really like about this particular roller, besides the trust factor.First of all, the small head easily gets around your eyes and around your nose. The needles are so tiny that you probably won't feel much more than a tingle. Just know that if you do feel more than that, you are pressing too hard. They handle is ergonomically designed. It doesn't slip in your hand. It comes with a case and the whole kit doesn't take up a lot of your counter real estate. The box gives you specific instructions on how to use this product, including the importance of disinfecting it with a spritz of alcohol each time you use it.If you're new to this type of product, congratulations! They really do work. They help your body with its own collagen formation, as well as helping your serum to be more effectively absorbed. It's important to go slow and light the first time. Instinctively, we want to go a little harder thinking that it will be more effective that way. Try not to. Give yourself a few weeks to get used to it, only once a week. During those weeks, only pass over each section of skin twice.Remember that this isn't just going OVER your skin, it's going IN your skin. Be as careful as you would with any sort of invasive medical device. Don't share it. Disinfect it. Don't overdo it.It arrives in a box, and inside that box the device itself is in a sealed pouch. If it doesn't arrive that way, it might be a customer return, so do not use it. Send it back.Works great on mature skin, but it has benefits for any age and any gender. Anyone that is interested in skin that is more refined.I hope that the photographs, as well as this review, have helped you to make a decision about whether or not this type of product is right for you, and if this particular brand is right for you.You don't see results immediately, so that might be a consideration for you. In my mind, I am a bit of a skin junkie and have no problem spending a fortune on serums. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth because this device makes the most of those often expensive products. No matter what you decide, wishing you the best of health and beauty!xxoo

Neat little instrument
You can really feel it looking your skin, but I don't know if it makes a big difference. Lightweight and easy to use.

I'm not completely sure of the purpose of this
I ordered this item on a whim because it sounded like a neat product. I have to be totally honest, I really don't know what I'm supposed to expect from it. I've used it several times and I still don't really know. It is very easy to use; you just roll it across your clean face. It is a roller of tiny needles but it is not painful to use. You can definitely feel the needles but it is more of a tingling sensation rather than pain. I guess it is making tiny temporary openings in your skin?? I've applied moisturizer after I've used it. I like the way it makes my face feel but I'm not sure what it is actually doing for my skin. I would love some thoughts on this.

Better than expected
Good:1. It doesn't hurt at all!2. Comes with a protective caseBad:1. A bit hard to clean -- which is key to avoiding skin infection2. The rolling is not exactly as smooth as I would expectOverall, this is a fun gadget to try; you just need to ensure that you disinfect correctly before and after each use.Thank you so much for reading this review. I hope it helps in your decision-making process.
