Dual Boot Computer, Single Monitor
I have a dual boot system, which ran either Windows XP or Windows 7 using a DVI to VGA display adapter. At some point, I began having display problems with Windows 7. To make a long story short, this switch allows me to use HDMI for Windows 7 and turn VGA on for XP, without swapping cables every time. With the buttons in front and cables in back, I used double sided tape to mount the switch to my monitor base. Looks great, works great, cheap fix. The buttons function smoothly and solidly. I have absolutely no problems so far and recommend this product.

CCTV DVR vs Desktop computer
Does the job. I use it to monitor my home security camera system DVR on my desktop computer monitor. I did notice it seems to have adjusted the screen resolution on my computer. But that was easily remedied via a few mouse clicks. Feels a bit cheap and very light. Hope it works for a while. I've had it now for a month or so. No real issues.

great 2 vga to 1 vga port switch
Purchased first one 11/15/2022 failed last week got this same item again (11-19-2024) and now works fine as first one. Many ,,, many .... did I say many ,,, after literally hundreds of times switching server to laptop the first switch got weak >20+ ohms on both vert and horz signals. Other 4 lines less 2 ohms. Happy again.

Added another computer to use the same monitor
This was very helpful. I have 2 computers and one monitor. I hooked them both up through this device and use them as needed. You have to switch the ports from A to B for each computer and you can only use the monitor for one computer at a time but it's great.

Lasted 37 days
The #2 port died after 37 days. I could live with the need to re-depress/half depress a port button for the display to be clear but, a non-working port means this brick is heading back to the Amazon defective device department. Yeah, my fault for expecting a ~$9 device to work for years
