Great steam item
My son has 3 sets of these and can build all the items. It's a cool thing foe kids that enjoy building.

Have a child teach you
I could not figure out how to connect these they were kinda hard to clip so me and my 3Year old granddaughter said we would wait u tilThe older kids arrived to teach us how to use them. Well enters a 7 and 4 year old and glam they had towers and castles built literally in a blink of an eye. Well these 2 children showed my 3 Year old granddaughter how to use them and there she goes building all sorts of towers castles cars you name it they were building them. They had a blast At one time I walked in and there were 5 of them ages 3,4,5,7,& 12 years old building together this grandma gets a high five for finding a toy all ages will enjoy I even was on the floor building with them. Now I will purchase a few more.

Love the toy and idea! Even with a few broken pieces still a great toy
My 10 year old son and my 3 year old nephew had a blast building with these. It can be challenging finding toys that they both can do together that keeps their interest. My only issue was the connecting balls. They don't hold up well. Have had the set about two days and we had a broken one in the box and four more broke on us(two from stepping on them which yeah I understand and one from pulling apart pieces). I'm thinking maybe we ended up with a few weaker connectors? They both still had so much fun and it is worth the money.

My 9 year old daughter LOVES these!
My daughter came over for her 9th birthday to get her gifts. One of the things I got her was this box of building pieces. She also got a stuffed animal, some shirts, a skirt, a backpack, a necklace, etc. I wasn't sure if she would want them because [I know it's sexist, but I'm 53 and old school] and she's 9. I don't know what the "cool" age is for building toys any more. ANYWAY - she popped open this box first (before trying on clothes, putting on jewelry, etc.) and proceeded to play with them until it was time for her to go home. It was so nice seeing her use her brain to plan things out and build. She built towers and bridges and a motorcycle and a boat. My only critique is that they needed more than two wheels in the box to make a car or rolling base. But the pieces snapped together easily. I'm very happy with this purchase.

It’s hard to follow the pictures in the booklet so my grandson creates his own.
An adult has to make one of the samples in the picture book, a 4 yr old can’t do it by him/herself. The pieces are easy to assemble and will the pieces fall off.

Loved the first set we ordered another one. But.......
Great set and love the 2 sets put together. Not sure who uses it more me 46 or my 3 year old son. In both sets we did find a couple balls that are not aligned right so you can't use the seam edge for building. But this set is not Indestructible. The long yellow bars my son 3 years old have snapped several in half. He has thrown it across the room and nothing but his hands break them. While I do love this set I believe I will look to other sets before repurchasing this set. But we will give the 5 star rate for creative play and self building.

So fun!
I got these for my two younger boys (age 3 and 5) for them to build while older sons (age 12 and 14) built lego rc cars. My little boys loved them! The other kids wanted to play too (age 1, 8 and 11). They fought over whose turn, so I bought another set! The kids love building all sorts of things and they are easy enough for even my 1 year old. He's very proud of pushing the pieces together and loves playing with the older kids.

Fairly good value (compared to other building sets), and fun
Been having a lot of fun with these with the grandson (4yr). Better quality and way more pieces than the 'retro' tinker toy set we got.
