Took forever to get here but after 4-5 power outages, i like it alot. Starts easy, rolls easy on concrete but may be a challenge for older folks. Powers most of my house but did have to shut off and restart it a couple times as my new Heating system wouldnt power on all the way. Phase issue?

Bought this unit a year ago in anticipation of storm related power outages. Although we were at the edge of Hurricane Ian, we lost power during the height of the storm. When wind and rain died down, I slid generator outside and hooked up power cord to inside freezer, refrigerator, some lights, coffee maker and cell phone chargers. Started on second pull. Ran continuously for almost 60 hours. Gas was not easy to find, so at one point it ran continuously for more than 14 hours (as advertised). Many neighbors had bigger units (>5000 watts). More power than they needed and theirs ran for only 8 hours on twice as much gas. We are very, very happy with this unit. Paid for itself simply by protecting frozen and refrigerated goods (and making sure I had my morning coffee!).Also, when my gas powered chain saw ran low on bar oil while cutting downed trees, this unit worked fine for my small electric chain saw (14" beaver tail).I hope we do not have another Ian, but I am happy to have this unit taking up very little space in our garage and knowing it will start if and when I need it!

First one came damaged, sent it back but took 3 weeks to get replacement. Overall, it's a great generator for camping and emergency use, as long as you only wish to have necessities and not luxuries. It'll run a portable AC unit or space heater and a few outlets but that's about it. When using the space heater and outlets(50% load) for about 8 hours, it consumed about 2.5 gallons while using premium octane fuel. Just wish it had a 30A 220VAC plug for fewer cords to have on hand.

This generator comes with electric start, and started right up the first time. However, the electric start never worked again. Took it in to an authorized repair center for repair. They kept it for six months and then told me the parts needed to do the repair were no longer available. They refused to submit a warranty claim for me. I called Generac and they told me a warranty claim can only be initiated by an authorized claim center. Now it's up to me to find another repair center which will submit a claim for me.

Came shipped as described, was in box and in perfect order. Added the oil furnished with the generator, started it let run a few minutes. Put it back in the box for handling and went camping for 5 days in our camp trailer. Used the generator every day for one thing or another it performed perfectly. A great investment for not a lot of money. I have a smaller Honda generator and this one is as quiet or quieter than the Honda. Very Happy so far

Damage frame , unbalance, also when mounting wheels the one wheel was hard to mount , washer would not fit right due to weld joint .I have to improvise.Due to the unbalance I could have frame correctedAsking for support on damage frame. Would like to receive some credit. Otherwise generator Is good . Thank you. Carol

Was very easy to assemble directions were simple it operates as it said it would handles all of my needs from my pop-up camper

So I love how easy it was to start up and it does run for hours I love that it shows you the gas level my only issue with it is that after a month of use it would no longer stay running and I have not been able to fix the problem so far and I have owned it now for many months and I've only gotten to use it for the first month

The shipper UPS delivered the Generator upside down, fortunately there was no damageThis is a basic generator that is fairly well made at a reasonable price - NO frills except it has optional electric start.Pro's:- Good frame structure with transport wheels & lift handle- Good fuel storage @ approx. 20L/4 Canadian Gal. w/20hr run time @ 25% Load- Electric Start with Sealed 12V/7ah battery (Con: Engine does not charge battery when running)- Excellent regulated power output @ 120VAC 30amp Max. - (Con: 120VAC ONLY)- 4 120VAC standard outlets + 1 30amp twist lock outlet- Comes with China made spark plug but can be substituted to NGK BPR6ES Standard Small Engine Plug- LCD Hour Meter to keep track of engine maintenance- Automatic electric starting choke (Con: NO Eco Throttle - Fixed speed @ 3600rpm)- Noise level not too bad but higher than a comparable Honda Generator @ 82db at approx. 12ft. (If you are looking for a similar powered generator that is quiet - buy an Inverter type)- Good for many applications especially an off grid backup (I bought it for this purpose) Easily runs many of my power tools like rip saw, small 1hp/3 gal. pancake compressor - Primarily runs my 40A backup charger through my power inverter- Replacement maintenance parts are very common and easy to find at reasonable prices- I have owned a few different clone type overseas manufactured generators, this one is the best to date with all things considered - Price - Noise level - Output Power - Quality - Basic featuresCons:- Potential for high fuel consumption at bigger loads above 50% of rated power- Electric start battery does not charge when engine running (Installed a small 12V/25W solar panel with 3amp regulator to keep battery charged when not in use)- Electric start battery is a SLA (sealed lead acid) with only a 3-5 year life span (PRO: Common battery)- NO ECO-Throttle (Fixed engine speed @ 3600rpm) making the generator slightly noisier than others at 82db - 12ft- Heavy unit at approx. 120lbs (wheel kit helps) but requires two people to lift it comfortably (I use a hydraulic lift table to lift it on my own in to my truck)- Electric choke activates on a warm restart for approx.10sec causing the engine to run rough or stall at times (Occasionally have to manually re-start when engine is hot)Overall this generator is a good buy for off-grid backup or running power tools and is well made for the price point - Noise level is slightly on the high side but acceptable ( I added a thru-wall exhaust extension kit with an additional external muffler that solved the 82db noise level - 1.5" diameter )I have only had the generator a short time, so far so good, will update review if requiredAll the best, hope this helps, Cheers!

Compared to a lot of other generators out there this was priced really well. Sturdy, easy to handle and works as advertised. Have had absolutely no issues with the running of machine and I think it is fairly quiet compared to some. Wasn't a brand I was familiar with but does the job we intended it for ( building off grid) and its been a great little generator

Bought this to replace a 20+ year old Champion 3000 watt generator. As we have frequent power outages, need it to keep my fridge and TV going. The Powermate 2000i fits the bill perfectly. Burns less than half the gas and is way quieter than my old one.

Does not work. Cant return either. stuck with this failure and money is still with amazon.Amazon does not help neither does the process.Ended up renting one from Home depot
