A great trumpet stand.
I have only used this stand at three gigs so far, but it has been excellent. I carry three horns with me: my 1970 Doc Severinsen trumpet, a sweet 1956 Conn cornet with the coprion bell, and my 1966 Olds flugelhorn. As you can see, my horns are nearly as old as me! Because they have been collected over many years of playing, and because they are the "keepers" of my couple of dozen horns over those years, I am especially concerned with their safety. This stand, with its stability and ease of assembly, keeps them immediately available, but steady. If it had a little more weight at the center, it would be even more stable, but, then again, it would be that much heavier to carry. It is the best compromise on weight, strength and stability that I've seen. I also appreciate the thinking behind making one vertical piece larger so that it more comfortably fits the flugelhorn bell.By the way, because I play mostly in a solo jazz kind of situation rather than a big band horn section, I generally only use one mute, a Jo-Ral bubble mute. I just stick it upside down over the lead pipe of one of the two horns on the stand and, presto!, the stand is also my mute holder.

Excellent stand with with some assembly required
The stand works as well as you could hope and is sturdy enough for practice and performance use. I usually have 1 or 2 trumpets and a flugelhorn on it and have had no problems. The only negative that I've found is the number of steps involved in setting it up. The base of the stand folds easily enough, but each of the pegs must be assembled and screwed in to the stand during setup. It can be pretty annoying when you're late to practice, and it takes several minutes to set up your instrument and mute stands. Having said that, there's not another stand that I've found that has this level of functionality without the set up / take down hassles. It probably takes 2 minutes to put together, which would seem a lot quicker to me if I wasn't perpetually late to practices. Otherwise, the instruments are all held securely and within reach, and the included carrying case is a definite plus.

Nice stand for 3 horns
Groups horns nicely. Compact, but doesn't crowd the horns. It can be broken down quickly and easily carried in the included bag. Does the job. I like it.

Can be a little wobbly on an uneven floor.
I am still trying to figure out how to make this thing work with my trumpet and flugelhorn. With two horns, it tends to topple over, especially on an uneven floor. I am now putting the vacant leg under my music stand feet to keep it from falling and damaging my horns. I think the problem is the legs are straight out from the center and might work better if they for arched. If you have three horns, (b flat trumpet, flugelhorn and C trumpet, it might work. I only take my B flat and a flugelhorn to rehearsal, unless I need a C. I would probably buy two single tripods if it were to do over.

NOT cheap crap!
When shopping for a 3-trumpet stand I NEVER thought I'd find anything as durable as my 40-year-old Hamilton trumpet stand. While not as heavy, the Hercules is every bit as durable. I am using it "as is" without the smaller peg to accommodate my Eb trumpet. I just cut down the heavy-duty foam piece on the top of one peg. I have my Bb, C, and Eb on the stand now and it is very sturdy. The Hercules mute holder is nice too.

Great Stand
So far, it seems to be a really well built trumpet stand. And I find it nice to have one, instead of three. A lot of people seem worried about the stand tipping over, but I did some experiments and it doesn't seem likely that it would. Certainly not anymore likely than with any other stand. I could see the "adjusters" for the individual pegs losing getting lose, but fifty cents worth of hose clamps (or five cents of tape) would fix that easily enough, if it became an issue. I will say that the carry bag is a must-get. I didn't think it'd be a big deal, but when you remove the pegs, it's really nice to be able to throw everything in a bag and go.

Great product!
My only complaint is how easily the pegs come unscrewed. seems like I have to tighten them everyday.Otherwise great for multiple horns at once.

Excellent stand
Excellent stand, came as quickly as I needed it. Spokes are interchangeable, so you can buy ones for different instruments as well (say, if you also played woodwinds ). Comes with a thin bag for carrying. Super portable.
