Helps keep my big old ZZ plant from leaning onto my sheer curtains. I wish it were bigger though. The shape of it is great. Not to much work to install.

I got to admit, I did not purchase this item for its intended purpose.First of all, this metal stake is very sturdy, hard material that I don't think will bend readily. Ths particular model had the smallest diameter among the similar products and initially I was worried it will be too big for my use. I wanted to use the ring stake to support the watering bottles for my plants that are in planters. Those bottles are simply inverted over a terracotta stake and have no support to keep them securely in place. I tied the bottle to the tree or the supporting stakes, but still felt unsure, especially when you live in a place that gets some earthquakes. So I decided to add more support by providing the "stopper" that can keep the bottle still propped up, even when the bottle lost balance and get tilted. This ring support does that well. Only gripes I have would be, that I wanted these in even smaller diameters, and hoped that the interlocking ring mechanism can be applied AFTER the half circle supports were placed in position. Otherwse, I am happy that water bottles are now more securely supported/contained in their respective position.

It is sturdy and easy to work with. But by the time you stake it into the ground, for sturdiness, the height is about 8 to 10 inches. The above-ground height is not enough to hold upright, even regular dahlias. I will use it to keep in place my smaller less heavy plants such as mid-size lilies, upright phlox, and columbines.

They are not easy to fit together especially when dealing with a plant already potted. Nit a fan

I bought this for peonies….don’t make the same mistake. They’ll hold up dahlias but nothing larger.
