I got a great deal on this with an open box buy on Amazon. My guess is that these sometimes get returned when people realize they won't fit as intended in the previously drilled holes in their door, because I almost returned mine. When I went to install it, I saw that the plate for the deadbolt wouldn't fit vertically as shown, because the existing holes in my door were too close together. In a "light bulb" moment, I realized an easy work around was to place the plate horizontally instead, and voilà, it fits! This was a great way to elevate the look of my front door for a bargain basement price. I slightly prefer the vertical presentation, but I honestly think it looks great either way. Drilling a small hole for the bottom part of the handle was a bit intimidating, but it was no biggie. It looks and feels like quality hardware, and I'm thrilled with the impact it makes on my door!

Super sturdy but instructions did not match so it took a while to piece it together.

Wish I would have read all the poor reviews on this product before purchasing it. I am outside of my return window, but I previously looked through the box and all of the parts were accounted for, despite that being a posted complaint by others. The material used for the handles (I bought the black matte) is very nice and appears sturdy. My delay was a major surgery and the intimidation of having to drill a hole in my door to accommodate the lower lock set with the fancy long grip.HOWEVER---I finally began the installation process today. The top part was without event, went well, looks nice and functions great. The bottom part is simply BROKEN......The outside lever will depress and activate the latch so the door will open but the inside handle does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. There is no way to open the door from the inside. I rechecked the installation, thinking I had made a mistake but that was not the issue. It is the fact that the inside lever is defective, it is impossible for the lever to trigger the door latch, and the door simply will not open from the inside. THIS IS A TOTAL MESS. I am so incredibly sorry that I made this purchase. If you are thinking about buying this product PLEASE read all of the reviews carefully and take note that there are serious defects with this door handle. Seriously dangerous in the event you need to vacate the house in an emergency situation, you will never be able to open the door to get out. This goes beyond a just product review; it is a safety issue that should receive immediate attention by the manufacturer. REALLY disappointed in this handle and it needs to be pulled from the market until they can correct the issue.

The lock is of good quality

Purchased the satin nickel handles for a double door. I ordered 2 sets because there were several complaints of only receiving one handle. However, I opened the first box and it had both handles for the door, so I will be able to send the other set back. The handles are solid, look wonderful, they match the door handles I bought for inside my house, so it will carry the character all the way through. Can't wait for my custom door to get installed and see these on them!

Poor quality, I doubt it secures main entrance door. I don’t recommend. I bought this because I need dummy handle for double door.
