This book has a lot of interesting information. However, it seemed like it would have been helpful to either live in, or be familiar with, Ottawa, to get the most out of the book. The information is also getting dated. There were references to elections "coming up" in 2010, and whatnot. However, as I'm vacationing in Ottawa soon, the book did help with my understanding of the city, it's history and the like, and gave me some ideas about what I want to visit. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Book contained only historical facts about the city and was expensive for what it was. The book could not be used to plan a trip to Ottawa. It's now in our Goodwill box.
