It is a beautiful little teacup and saucer, exactly as pictured.The curves are external, while it's smooth on the inside of the cup. I have an owl mug that is a pain to clean, because the inside is the same as the outside, and the fluting on this would be equally difficult if it weren't smooth on the inside.The handle is a little weird, given that it's so angular, but it is actually more comfortable in the hand than your typical rounded handle. Rounded handles take your entire hand's grip strength to hold so it doesn't slip, but the angles on this cup are ideal for the index to hold it, rest it on the middle finger, and steady it with the thumb. It feels "right", even if it takes a little getting used to.It fits aesthetically perfectly in the divot in the center of the saucer. there's just enough wiggle-room to not need to be precise, but it just *wants* to fit there.The packing, however, really got me. Most companies don't put that much care into how things are wrapped, even if it's ceramics. This set had a little bit of foam between the cup and saucer, then they were "saran wrapped" together with a TON of industrial wrap, then they were stuffed into a secure syrofoam box, then all the holes were filled with more styrofoam, then the box's lid was squished onto it, then the lid and ALL possible seams across all six sides of the box were sealed and reinforced with tape, and then put into a plastic shipping bag that was ALSO heavily sealed. ...I have never had anything sent to me quite as safe and secure as this was, and it's a real bragging point in my eyes that, no, this company ACTUALLY cares about their goods.The one and only thing that saddens me about this, is that there is no maker's mark on the underneath, and in time, I will forget where I got it, and have no idea as to where to get it again, should it break.

Love the cup! It is very cute and sets the mood for the whole day. Arrived in a Styrofoam box all wrapped up in packaging plastic, so it would not brake on the way, which is very good. However, if one’s planning to buy the cup as a present, should think of some kind of a gift box(that’s why 4 stars for gifting, but it is not a big issue). Other than that, the cup is beautiful! Works well for tea and coffee, heavy (which was expected, since it’s porcelain, not a bone china), very sturdy. I was thinking to buy it as a gift, but decided to keep it to myself 😊

Very cute! A good sized teacup. It makes me happy to drink hot chocolate out of it in this winter season.The only thing that bothers me is that the white of the teacup and saucer are a lot more yellow in color than it appears in the product pictures. Refer to pic for comparison with a white-colored plate.

I bought this as a gift, and it was beautiful! The package was beat up, but the teacup inside was pristine.
