To start this is probably my second product from this brand which I have not heard of before now and I have to say the look and feel to the products are really nice make me feel kinda divaish lol I am a tomboy at heart. I also love the packaging so much that I just store this away using the packaging. I recently tried this out because I have 2 girls not inclding myself who do their hair using some type of heating/styling tool and I did not have a mat to place them on before now I was using my table until it started to bother me. Getting this I def can appreciate the product in itself just because I feel more comfortable using it then my table of course but more so I was able to test it using 2 straighters at the same time a smaller one and a larger one which I was using for my daughters hair. The larger one is usually set at a pretty high temp with her having mixed hair and it being thick and the second sets at its own temp but can get pretty hot as well. This mat with stood both at the same time and for that I hands down love this plus again their products seem so nicely made. I am very happy with not only this product but the brand itself.

This is more grey than black than in the picture. In fact, it's a lot lighter shade to the point I almost thought I had gotten the wrong product. It seems to be effective at protecting my countertop, but I also haven't put my straightener directly on it. I let the end overhang a little. All in all, this seems to do what it set out to do. I just wish it was darker in color.

When I saw this I was impressed the by the size and how cute it was. I had several of these that were pretty small. To see if it really works well I put to a risky test and laid directly on my vanity. I use heat form 400-450 for about an half hour to hour. My desk is not damaged in any way. I have their curling iron and it fits perfectly with this mat. I love it.
