This particular table works extremely well for both those uses. First of all as you can see the flame is enormous. I did not use the decorative glass beads at ship with a product those will help disperse the flames. At the point of taking these photos I still needed to bring this over to my grandmothers and I constructed in my garage. Construction was a breeze I highly recommend keeping the top portion in the protective shipping container until you connect all the legs and the doors. Another nice feature of the fire pit is that the gas volume or flame level control is accessible even when the door is closed. You can see this in my 4th photo. The fire pit that I have at home would not serve as a coffee table as well as this on. The fact that the cover over the burner sits flush with the rest of the table. Not only does the covers a flush but also the handle which is a smart design. Everything from finish to construction was great with this I highly recommend.P.S. I drop this off at my grandmothers house last week and she said she’s used it almost every night! Happpy grandparents day!I hope this was helpful.

We have been enjoying our new firepit almost every night. It makes such a significant difference in our outdoor space. So fun! We put it together in about an hour and everything went together well. No issues with missing or broken pieces. We love just sitting outside in these early fall nights enjoying the heat and beauty. I'm also very glad these came with rocks that are glass and not lava of rocks. I really dislike the look of lava rocks. The glass rocks are much classier and worth the extra money in my opinion. A cover is easily attainable from Amazon as well. Definitely recommend.One recommendation is to not panic if it doesn't light initially. I thought it wasn't working initially but it just needed a minute to get the gas through the line. Give it a minute! No problems since.

Love this gas fire pit! With the evenings getting cooler it is so nice to be able to go out and press a button and enjoy the warmth and ambience of a nice fire.The quality of the fire pit was better then I thought it would be for this price. The sides and top are both made with a fairly solid black iron. It comes with brown glass stones that provide a more elegant look. Many fire pits in this price range only include lava rocks. Very easy to assemble and comes with all the tools you need. Having a cover for the top is a must to keep little hands out of the hot stones.This fire pit provides enough heat to keep you warm and cozy on a cool evening. So far really enjoying it! Great fire pit table for the price.

We had a regular fire pit that we got in the beginning of spring, and we bought a bag of charcoal and wood logs for. It wasn't nearly as nice as this. Assembly took my husband about 20 minutes to do, and he did it while watching a football game. I ran out to Walmart to get a tank of propane. Everything works great. My husband had to figure out how to turn it on (you have to push in and then turn). When not using the fire, you can put the cover over it and use it as a regular square patio table. The decorative stones look beautiful too!

LAUSAINT HOME 31" outdoor fire table is awesome designed, beautiful and great design gas fire pit. This fire pit is very easy to assemble as well easy to use. It tool only 15-20 minutes for me to assemble this fire pit. The dimensions are perfect, good height and width makes it a great choice. 40,000 BTU heat output is also very impressive. The material used is great quality material, the paint is rust proof and water proof, makes its life span long and durable. Awesome gas fire pit.

We absolutely love our new fire pit! It was actually easy to put together, it is stable, and easy to turn on and off. It also came with glass pebbles, it is just kick it up a notch! Instead of propane gas tank I will use natural gas connection. This is Incredible!!

This gas propane fire pit is very easy to use and works as expected. It is safe for daily use and perfect for the chill evenings. It makes my family enjoys hanging outside much more now even though the weather is getting colder and colder. I can see how often we are going to use this fall and maybe even upcoming winter.

This is perfect just in time for the fall, the assembly is so easy, take less than half hour. The marble stone is so beautiful when you light up the fire. And you can use it as a table when not playing with the fire, but there’s enough room for you to put drinks even when the center piece is lifted.
