I had a 2005 cobalt with 240,000 some miles on it and it needed tires. I didn't want to spend a lot of money considering the thing should have blown up years ago. Before, I'd tried 2 differnet types of Mastercraft, BF Goodrich, and Firestone. All of them left a lot to be desired with wet traction. A Cobalt is definitely not known for its handling and performance but trying to get going in the snow was a joke. I bought the Fortune tires solely on price because I was completely used to sliding everywhere. I was shocked that these cheap tires had infinitely more dry, wet and snow traction than any of the high dollar name brand tires I'd had on it before. I sold the car with 282,000 miles. It had about half of the tread left. I saw it last week and that old car is still puttering down the road with Fortune tires. They're amazing.
