Much better quality than a big box store collar and less than half their price.This collar is perfect for our dogs (who think they should be in the Iditarod). They're pullers and the only thing that stops that behavior is using a prong collar.You can shorten the length by taking the individual pieces out. This doesn't come with additional tips but that's okay. This does, however, come with a dog whistle on a lanyard. Let me tell you: my dogs did NOT like that at all. It has a high pitched, quiet tone that make them all take notice and run for cover. I will have to train them on recall for this but they sure took note of it instantly.This collar has a sliding 'lock' on the clasp. You attach your leash to the rings in FRONT of the collar.for those who dislike the look of these collars and think of them as inhumane or 'mean', they are not. They are simply a training tool. The dogs learn that pulling will cause the pokeys to get closer to their skin. The behavior changes very quickly and you won't find your dog lunging or racing ahead. They will walk right next to you. These are lifesavers for us.

My dog usually walks me around the neighborhood and barks at everything! I had to try something to lessen this behavior, but was very hesitant to use this type of collar. I was very surprised it worked for me the first time I used it. My dog pulled initially then I think it immediately felt the prongs and stopped. It’s weird to see my dog just sit still with collar on but without me even holding the leash. Hopefully it keeps working and after a while, my dog can go back to the regular collar. I don’t believe it’s hurting my dog because I’m not pulling on it as before and the rubber coverings on the prongs prevents metal to skin contact. I have not tried the whistle because the collar working great so far with barking as well, but it’s definitely a nice bonus!

I purchased this collar for my neighbor as a gift to his dog and after few days he called me and thanked me for it. He dog max is so happy now with his new collar . I recommend it to everyone
