Super fun for mini synths
The menu is very full featured. It's easy to get confused with so many features but once you get the hang of it, this is really handy for visualizing harmonics, etc. Since I have my audio split into left/right, I can see the different channels on the visualization. I can't imagine what else they could possibly add to this other than a dancing vibing cat.

Could be great but isn't
This is a beautiful piece of hardware crippled by just awful implementation - mainly software. It's an STM32 processor with a microphone and two analog inputs (for audio) and a pretty display all in a compact box with clear acrylic cover.1. The cover comes with a dull protection sheet that isn't obviously a protection sheet. With it on it seems like a milky display and there's no doc saying to take it off. I just randomly realized it when the milky sheet frayed a bit.2. The 'usb' connector is this strange not-usb with audio lines instead of data lines and an audio connector in it. It works but don't lose the cable. They could have just had a real usb connector and an audio input jack but no.3. The software is miserable. It supports a number of display options all of which look bad. The most obvious EQ display (frequency vs amplitude) that every single EQ application uses is poorly done with no axes and a strange pixely display. The other display options are just a waste of memory.4. None of the pins are broken out for hobbyist use even though audio, debug, and power pads are on the board - that you really can't get to.5. No source code is available even though it would be very easy to edit with the debug port broken out.6. The clock is pitiful. I just want date and time - I don't want to know which week of the year it is (?) or what the next chinese holiday is.

In love
I'm totally in love with this thing. All of the other pain points that other reviewers mentioned are true - the manual isn't great, the interface is clunky. Those problems aside though, I've always wanted something like this. I wish it was a little larger or that I could mount it on the wall. It's a great little desk companion as it is and I'm so glad I found it!

Does what it says/ love it
Does exactly what it saysLots of funYou will need some rudimentary audio interface knowledge and intuition to navigate the menu (remote recommend) and you will be able to get it up and running without the clock.I didn't even use the instructions and I was able to get it going in 10 minutes before I left for work.Very satisfied 😀

It’s misleading. Very small
Intentionally Misleading. Smaller than a phone.

Such a good idea
Man. I really want to give this thing a 5 but there are so many issues with this item that I can only give a 3 star. What I really wanted was a spectrum analyzer for music output so I can geek out on my audioness. I really couldnt find anything from pc or hardware that I was looking for. So, leave it to Amazon I found this item. It does what I want. The problems is the software is super buggy and it likes to reboot alot. That is while you are in the Menu portion. If you are very very very patient, you can get through it and get this thing up to where you like it.If you do buy this thing, just use the remote as I found it much better than the 3 horsemen, or buttons on the back of the unit. On the remote, button 6/9 are used as a sensitivity to the input whether it is the mike or the line in. 1 is low sensitivity where setting 6 is the highest sensitivity.Buttons 5/8 are used to do the processing for the spectrum analyzer. As far as the line analyzer, not a fan, but some people may love it.On the remote, use the mute button to turn off the auto clock/sound detection off. This allows it to stay on the spectrum/line analyzer mode so you dont have the useless clock. So, for me this thing works good. but I cannot recommend to anybody. Has to be a person with alot of patience, tech know how, and patience. It is fun though.

Fun little device
I'm sure it may have some practical uses but I'm just having fun playing with it and seeing what all it can do. Great for fidgety people like me!!! LOL

Better instructions and manual PLEASE! And a video!
I really wanted to like this seemingly cool device, but the instruction manual is terrible! It's not written well at all, and certainly not clear and easy to understand. So I have this device and basically don't know how to use it! It would help if companies like Douk provided instructional videos on YouTube in English, so that customers could better understand their products. It's the least they could do as a sign of respect for us. Some of the questions I have is: Does this device always need to be plugged into a USB source to work, or does the 'button battery' provide power? If not, what is the 'button battery' for? Does this device have a built in microphone? Where/how do you attach the 3.5mm mini stereo plug to an audio device (headphones out, aux out, ?)? How do you get both L and R channels to show on the display?
