The Cities Book (The Fact Book)

This book is good except forthe writeup of NYC which Includes a large disgusting inappropriate photo of some kind of raw guts that the author claims are frequently eaten in NY. I lived in New York for 27 years and never saw such a horrible thing anybody’s plate or in any restaurant. But that photo was enough to turn off my daughter-in-law and grandson who never want to go to New York City and I understand why when I look at that picture. What were they thinking??!

Another great Lonely Planet book for kids.

My ten year old loves it. He's fascinated by facts and this book has been a springboard to an interest in world geography. He's even built all of the buildings mentioned out of Legos. Love it!!

Got this for my twin nephew and niece as we prepare to go to Paris. It's interesting and has good valuable information.

My little kids love to read this book, it has so many interesting thins to see world around it.

My son loves this book and has enjoyed many hours of fun with it and learned about other cities. The book has just the right amount of fun facts and nice pictures about each city.

Great book to use with my students. The graphics and colors are wonderful.

Awesome book for children.

I bought this book for my 8 year old for Christmas. I have no doubt he will love it as he has a keen natural interest in the world at large and is always asking about different cities and what goes on in them. Having looked through the book myself on arrival, i can see that it is very well laid out to grab a younger childs interest (and an adults too i must say!) and seems to be full of interesting facts. If he enjoys this as much as i think he will, i will definitely go ahead and order the Travel Book also.

Bought in addition to Lonely Planet's Countries of the World book for a geography mad 5 year old (and his Gran!). Sure we will love looking at this together on Christmas Day and well beyond!

Great and super informative book. My 8- year old loves it for her bday and we’ve all learnt so much from it. Fantastic present!

Fantastic book for children who are interested and inquisitive about the world. Full of fun facts on the major cities in each of the continents. We own the book on countries that Lonely Planet for Kids released and this is another fantastic addition.

Very interesting says my 8 year old son. Keeps him quiet - which is a feat, I can tell you!
