If you are looking around for excellent South Carolina flavor you just found it. Maybe seems a little bit pricey, but heck it's in a glass jar & you don't eat it everyday, or do you? Either way, definitely reminds of my time in South Carolina, a jar of some Sassy Southern Charm! Highly Recommend!...don't forget the Red Dixie Cups and Napkins!

I love alabama white sauce. I make my own but my husband isn't as crazy about it as I am and a fresh batch only keeps in the fridge for 5 - 7 days. I came across this and was really excited, it would be nice to have in the fridge for whenever I wanted and be able to use a little bit at a time and cut back on the waste of making a jar for just myself that goes bad before I can use it all. I noticed when I peeled the saftey seal off the bottle that the cap wasn't on tight. I thought maybe I had loosened it taking the seal off but I put it straight in the fridge to be safe. Took it out to use on chicken that night and it was not right. It tasted bad. I didn't check the date and based on other reviews I wish I had, but I was so disappointed I just chucked the whole bottle. Looking at some other reviews and questions it looks like its missing a few other key ingredients like horseradish, that's not going to make it taste spoiled but IMO that's a major flavor component. Disappointed all around. Check the date and check the lid. Also taste the real thing either at a BBQ shack that has it, or make it yourself, so you have a baseline to compare. It should be tangy.
