Absolute garbage support. Logitech is really horrible.
Might as well pay for Apple Mouse. The shortcut extra buttons stopped worked 6 months ago and Logitech doesn't care to update the software or fix it. This is supposed to be a mouse made for Mac. They're horrible. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it has a good scroll wheel. But why even bother with this garbage for 10k? The extra 3 buttons might as well be removed. The light grey version that I have gets dirty so easily and it's impossible to clean. There's a reason we pay a premium for apple. And I'd rather pay that premium to apple than trust this idiot brand Logitech.

A Mac mouse that is great for work and playing a Third-Person Shooting game
I have been using this Mac version of the Logitec mouse for about eight days. I rate this mouse 10/10 because it works as it is supposed to and is very comfortable to hold on to for a long time for both work and game. I want a Mac mouse that:1. is Comfortable/Ergonomic;2. can use the forward and backward buttons for moving PowerPoint slides forward and backward during slide show presentations for work;3. has a dedicated horizontal scroll button;4. can play a Mac game Code of War 2-Striker Zone, a third-person shooting game;5. does not need any USB dongle. This mouse satisfies all my five requirements.1. My right hand is not as big as many adult men's hands, but my right hand is comfortably resting on this mouse (see the attached picture). The rubber on the mouse gives the texture that makes the mouse even more comfortable to hold on to for a long time. To me, if the mouse is ergonomic, it should be comfortable. So I assume these two terms are equivalent.2. My old mouse cannot use the forward and backward buttons to move the PowerPoint slides forward and backward. I install Logitech Option+ software. I can customize all buttons on the mouse for almost every software I use on my MacBook. I am very happy with this because I can now use the forward and backward buttons during my PowerPoint presentations.3. My old mouse does not have a horizontal scroll button. The horizontal scroll button in this mouse is extremely helpful for me, especially for scrolling my spreadsheet. I love this feature.4. There are not many cool games in the Mac environment, but I like to play this third-person shooting game Code of War 2: Striker Zone. With the Logitech Option+ software, I can adjust the pointer speed that fits my needs for this game. Perhaps I am not a professional gamer like other reviewers, I do not notice any lag even though I only use the Bluetooth connection.5. The fact that this Mac version mouse does not come with a USB dongle is something that I look for. My MacBook does not have any USB A ports. My old mouse comes with a USB dongle that I need to use an adaptor to plug into the thunderbolt port on my MacBook every time I use the old mouse. Whenever I take out my MacBook and the old mouse, I will have to look for the dongle+adaptor as well. I love this Mac mouse because I do not need to put anything on the thunderbolt port to use this Mac version of the Logitech mouse. It saves me a lot of hassle when I take out my laptop every day to work.Regarding the negatives other reviewers mentioned, they are not issues for me. For example, a clicking sound is fine. All the previous mice I owned before had the clicking sound, so I used to hear the clicking sound. The clicking sound actually gives me acoustic feedback to confirm that I press the button. As mentioned above, I do not notice any lag when I play my favorite third-person shooting game. But I have not tried playing other more popular FPS games on my MacBook (if available), and I am not a professional gamer for sure. All the buttons and functions work perfectly as they should. I do not notice any skipping or interruption during working and gaming. So far, I have not charged my mouse yet.I am happy with this purchase :-)

Great so far for photo editing. Mac gestures not quite as smooth as the trackpad but close
After using my trackpad for years I plugged in an old cheap mouse. The ergonomics were impressive and couldn’t be ignored but I was frustrated with the cheapo’s stutter and lack of consistent movement. For me that mostly means if I try to shade and area of a photo - the trackpad was clumsy because you have to do a sort of hold click with one finger while the other slides around. And the cheap mouse would skip out to other areas unpredictably. Meaning I had to use slow, smooth movements in both cases.I researched a better mouse and found the MX 3 recommended in several places. There were many options that would track well and it nails this job but I went for it because of the additional and Mac specific features.I can shade very fast which is more natural for me and the app-specific button mapping is a welcome bonus along with all the extra buttons.Install wasn’t completely smooth - I had to google help for it and found a walk through on a message board. (Mostly the issues were about enabling the correct permissions.) It took me a bit to get it working the way I like and am still tweaking the two scroll wheels. Sometimes the thumb/lateral is way slower than the main or both are fine but then out of whack in a menu... It’s not perfect. And the gesture controls are not as snappy as the built in ones on the Mac trackpad. It’s not as big as I’d like as some other user have noted. If that’s more important than the UI perks then I recommend you check out earlier models. But still, it’s a huge upgrade and life-improvement for me. The automatic clutch is clever and seems to work well but I love leaving the scrollwheel in free mode- scrolling text is very nice for reading and feels more natural than the staccato nature of click wheels. The battery life is seems crazy good. Been a few weeks and haven’t seen the (admittedly vague) battery level decrease.I hope updates address the (sometimes) inconsistent scroll speeds, or I can figure out where to tweak them better. All in all I would fully recommend this mouse for non-gaming Mac users.

About 99% of the way to perfection
Full review below but just some quick pros and cons:Pros:Super ergonomic and comfortable designThe scroll wheels and buttons feel amazingThe gesture button is genius and super intuitiveHigh quality construction just makes it really nice to useYOU CAN USE IT WHILE ITS CHARGING COMEON APPLE ITS NOT THAT HARDCons:LogiOptions almost ruins the entire experienceThis mouse is amazing, it feels great, tracks on almost anything, and the amount of customization is awesome. The SmartShift feature is awesome, I love ratcheting scroll wheels but they’re a pain if you need to get through a long document or webpage. (As soon as I got the mouse I just sat around scrolling the wheel for half an hour before even setting it up) The ratcheting isn’t as tactile as a normal ratcheting wheel but that should be expected since it’s all controlled by magnets. The horizontal scroll wheel is nice but I didn’t expect it to feel as heavy as it does. It doesn’t spin freely but I think that’s a good thing because I would just be flying sideways any time I accidentally touched it. The buttons on the side have a “bump” in them but they’re dampened so you get the feedback of clicking but it’s not as pronounced as the actual mouse buttons. The gesture button is an amazing feature and really well implemented but also not super clicky because it’s covered by the rubberized portion.I absolutely love this mouse BUT LogiOptions almost ruins the experience. When it works it’s a great experience, but when it doesn’t (which is semi-frequent) it’s painful. Firstly, it just can become a serious resource hog, I have to manually force quit the daemon in activity monitor for eating up memory and CPU power. For whatever reason the app remembers what I set each button to do but the mouse freaks out and changes its settings by itself. You either have to restart your entire computer (you can’t just kill the app) and that works most of the time. If it doesn’t, have fun getting a fresh install and loosing your settings because the backup feature stops working when this happens. So you have to set up the mouse to do what you want again and if you’re like me and have app specific settings you have do go through all that again. You will probably have to use app specific settings because for some reason (not sure if it’s hardware or software) scrolling isn’t the same for every app. Safari works fine out of the box, but preview, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and a bunch of others are either WAY too sensitive (one click of the ratchet sends you half way down your document) or nowhere near responsive enough (free scrolling will take ages to reach the bottom of the page). LogiTech please fix your software I love the mouse, it’s amazing hardware but your software support is terrible.
