Q: Does this contain teflon anywhere in the unit?

I ordered one with the stainless steel basket because I have birds unfortunately I was extremely dissapointed when I opened it and found the basket to be stainless steel but the pan and the rest of the machine are coated with non-stick inside. For me personally, this defeated the purpose of buying one with a stainless basket as I cannot use products with non stick coating due to having pet birds. Non-stick coatings =dead birds (and yes I know only if you overheat them, but it's not worth the risk to me). Would have been nice to know that it still contained non-stick coating elsewhere in the machine.

Are you asking about the button ion the front of the handle? Amazon should be able to replace the entire item for free if you ship your old one back. Give them a call or text them and ask. They usually make good.

Hello, If you have the EAF-05SS model that already comes with a Stainless Steel basket, it should not have any nonstick and should not be peeling. If you have the nonstick model EAF-05, then we have replacement baskets. Please contact us at support@maxi-matic.com.
