I had an older dutch oven that did not have a heat-resistant handle, so I had to splurge and get this lovely purchase. I was a bit hesitant. I do not recall where it came from, but it is super. There are no lingering chemical -paint-spray type odosr. The inside is impeccable. No tiny chipping away, very smooth. It bakes evenly and browns as one would desire. Oven mitts are included, but so tiny; and I have very small hands and fingers but still opt for a heavy potholder that covers more of the product being lifted out of a very hot 450 degree oven. It is worth the price.

This is my second cast iron Dutch Oven - love the way these cook! The red is a lovely shade.

Don’t waste your time with other brands and make this your first purchase. I made the mistake purchasing a main brand and kept receiving/returning several times. This is perfect! I have made bread, soup and stews that comes out perfect every-time. This sits on my stove because I use it almost everyday. No chipping or cracking which is a super bonus.

Love this pot. Best thing I have bought for cooking almost everything. Heat up great and keeps it warm.

I honestly did not expect this to perform as well as it did. It works just as well as any other Dutch Oven. The heat distribution is great and it definitely retains the heat as well! I made sourdough bread in here and I was pretty skeptical about it. Well I have no doubts about it now! There is some food that stick to the bottom though. I'll take that small downside anytime! Definitely worth the price!
