Well turned edges, lid closes with a snap, heavier than you expect, fits 12 full or 24 half pans, pan holder lifts out for more mixing area, lovely quality.

ALMOST the same as all the others - except for one thing
Yes, these empty palettes are all pretty much alike. I can't speak to the quality of the ones available these days that cost $12 or $13, so I can't compare that. But of all these palettes that I've bought over the years, the Schmincke ones are different in one aspect:The pan-holding brackets open facing one side. That means that labels on the pans, if you label them, can all face the same direction instead of facing the center. So you don't have to keep turning the pan or your body to see the names of the colors in the pans.At first I thought this would be weird, but now it has proved to be really great, and preferable. You might not think this is worth the rather significant extra dollars, but I think this feature is notable. And if you frequently change pans, or have (too!) many colors in your palette, this can make things easier.

Decided on getting the quality.
Great pallet. Well turned edges, solid. Feels good in the hands. Kinda wish the middle row coulda been made just 2mm wider, but that’s ok. It closes nice with a satisfying sound and is easy to open too. I chose this over the others cuz I have a lowered frustration tolerance and glad I did tho the cost hurt a bit of course. Arrived well packaged and injury free. I’m in Ontario BTW. Will maybe buy more one day if the price went down a bit.

Verletzungsgefahr
Der Kasten hat das Innenteil zum heraus nehmen das finde ich unnötig. Die aussen Kanten sind aus sehr dünnen Blech, absolut scharf und nicht entgratet oder rund. Der Versuch das Blech durch schleifen rund zu bekomme ist missglückt, weil das Blech zu dünn ist. Es besteht schwere Verletzungsgefahr. Ich habe mich an dem dünnen Blech geschnitten. Der Kasten geht sofort wieder zurück. Er ist das Geld nicht wert.

Ottimi tempi, arrivata ben prima del previsto.Articolo di ottima fattura, come da titolo, adatta a godet Sennelier, leggermente più grandi dei Winsor.Tolgo una stella, perché la confezione è arrivata con un "bollo" ( allego foto), probabilmente ha preso un colpo durante il viaggio...Svolge la sua funzione comunque...

Schmincke leerer Aquarellkasten hat Gute Qualität,aber es sehr teuer ist. Boesner hat die gleichen leerer Metallkasten und sehr günstig. Der klappbare Innendeckel ist gleichzeitig eine Mischpalette..
