UPDATED REVIEW: After contacting Vanguard on the missing extensions. The company sent me a mailing label and I shipped the defective unit back. Vanguard sent me a replacement. All of this was done in under 7 days. Their service team was extremely helpful and communicative. The replacement is perfect. Exactly what I ordered. Hat tip to Vanguard for their customer service. Tripod arrived with missing leg extension on one of the legs. I am Unable to use tripod at full height. Basically I received a bipod. I cannot use the tripod in the manner noted in the product description.I have notified vanguard of the issue and am awaiting a reply. I will update the review and rating based on their response.

I just don't understand why the balance bubble is hidden when you mount your camera. This should clearly be visible when your camera is mounted on the tripod. Using mine for work, i need perfectly balanced photos, so it takes time out of every shot to manually balance. Other than that, very sturdy and much better quality than my other tripods.

One of the best tripods I’ve came across . It’s durable light food up compact and over all fit and finish is impressive !

The item that arrived was missing the phone holder, part of the mono pod was missing etc and it looked like the carbon parts had been switched out for cheaper aluminum - take take with buying the "like new" product. I had to return it.

This is an easy review in the sense that it hits the ball out of the park for me. Here is a short, quick list of some of the things that I admire:1. The quality of materials is solid, from the carbon fiber, to the metal, to the rubber.2. Excellent fit and finish and overall design.3. Large number of features, covering all the bases and then some.4. Clever mechanisms, for example, the push-button release for the leg angle stops.5. The ball head quick-release plate has a cleverly integrated phone-holding mechanism with a cold shoe and even a hole to hold a magic arm.6. There are two more accessory attachment (magic arm, etc.) holes in the tripod where the legs connect.7. The two bubble levels and weight hook are standard for tripods in this class. You can check that box.8. Even the case is nice, with a drawstring extension, making room for something that you might want to leave attached.It's a top quality and complete package whether you use a regular DSLR/Mirrorless or a cell phone. Everything you might need is included, including a remote trigger for your cell phone and even an attachment for shooting really low to the ground. On top of everything, it folds up into a compact case allowing you to take it anywhere.I have many tripods, and all of them, except this one, fall short in some way because they lack a feature that I want. I would have to decide what I was going to do and select the tripod with the feature I needed. This one has them all. The ball head quick-release plate with the built-in feature to accommodate cell phones and attachment arms is HUGE.Very highly recommended.

Bought this based on endorsement of the brand by one of my favorite professionals on web. I am impressed by the tripod itself, but not the ball head. It won’t open far enough for most of my L brackets. Update: i replaced the ballhead with a Leofoto LH-40 (which is an amazing value for such a high quality head) and now love this combination. Although Im not happy that I had to pay more to replace the ballhead, I am now very happy with the final unit.

This is a really nice tripod. I’ve loved the Vanguard camera bag I have used the last 2 years, so I thought I’d see how some hardware was. Very impressed with the telescoping and how smooth it all flows. It’s lightweight but sturdy. I really like how easy it is to set up and take down and attaching my camera or grabbing it off for handheld work is effortless. Fantastic build and definitely worth every penny.

I have probably bought 30+ tripods and by far this is my favorite, it’s sturdy and it can hold my canon eos r with a tamron 24-70 lens
