Great all-around performing recessed LED lights
Purchased three sets of OmiBrite 4-inch recessed lights, after extensive comparison to similar models available on Amazon and at my local hardware store. Despite the very small number of reviews the specs and prices were favorable to other comparable products from other brands, so I took a chance with these. They were intended to replace 14W compact fluorescent fixtures throughout our house, starting with the bedrooms. I bought three packs: a 3000K, a 4000K, and a 5-color. Unlike other brands, there is a wide price difference between the single-color and 5-color models, so I tried to guess which colors would be best in each room. It turns out my guesses were wrong and I ended up returning the 3000K box entirely because the wife thought they were too orange to use anywhere. I like the flexibility of the 5-color, where I can install them and tailor the color to the room, and the preferences of the occupant. Even though the 5-colors are more expensive, they are still a good value compared to other brands, so I would recommend any buyer go with the 5-color unless you are sure ahead of time which color you want.At 700 lumens, these are on the higher end of brightness compared to other 4-inch lights, but not the highest- there are 850 lumen 4-inch models from other brands. These OmiBrites are noticeably brighter than the 14W CFLs they replaced, and they seem plenty bright to me. When I installed them my wife was worried they would be *too* bright, but then I reminded her I was putting them on a dimmer. With no dimmer, they may be too bright for some people's tastes, depending on how many lights there are, and the room size. If you need very bright lights for some reason, you could look at other brands, or step up to the 6-inch size, which output >1000 lumens. The efficiency of these (700lm/10W = 70 lm/W) is mid-range compared to competitors; other brands I looked at ranged from 60-85 lm/W. That is already vastly better than incandescent and a step above CFL so this wasn't a big factor in my choice. The differences here are in the range of pennies per year. But if efficiency is a top priority, maybe another brand would be better. One main selling point on this brand was the high CRI rating; they were the only lower-cost 4-inch lights with a CRI around 95; all competitors were 80-90. The color looks fine to me, nothing under these lights looks color-distorted at all. It's hard to say whether the difference between a CRI 90 light would be noticeable. But, for a long-term installation I didn't want to take any chances. Note: the lights I received say "CRI 90" on the sticker, but when I asked the manufacturer about it they showed me their test data that shows a CRI around 95.Assuming the manufacturer specs are accurate, the only thing I haven't been able to evaluate is longevity. They are rated to 50,000 hours, which is at the top end of other 4-inch lights; other brands ranged from 25-50k hours. Hopefully it will be many years before any of these fail.Overall, very happy with this product and looking forward to enjoying them for many years.

Better than others
We tried several other flat panel LEDs and they were just not quite bright enough and had weird color that felt kind of flat. If you look at the color graphs of LED lighting there are gaps in the spectrum that make the light look unnatural. These have come the closest to replacing the MR16s that we had in our kitchen. We bought the color temperature switchable version and settled on 3000k.I think it will still take some getting used to but these are 90% as good our old energy hog lighting. The light still doesn't fill the shadows the same way but I think that's an effect of not having a reflector to spread the light and create bounce from many angles. One beef, they say 95 CRI but in the packaging it says >90 CRI. Would like to see a graph of the color spectrum for these.Installation was easy. No problem with heat from the drivers. Will still have to see how they hold up reliability-wise.

Too thick for installing under a ceiling beam
Bought this to be able to install under a ceiling joist beam. Turns out it is too think (I needed the standard 0.5” thickness to be able to fit). Other reviewers who had no problem installing were probably not installing under a beam or had extra thick ceiling walls.
