Pfister 920-022Y Non Diverter Tub Spout, Tuscan Bronze

This was my first time replacing a tub spout by myself. At first I just bought a cheap universal kit at the hardware store - boy, was I disappointed! So I returned that one and got this one instead. I was hoping for a quality product and I got it. The finish is lovely, and the spout itself is very heavy. Although the spout opening is large, it actually has a smaller opening inside that the water comes out of (about the size of the short end of a matchbox). The installation was super easy: unscrew the old spout, put on fresh teflon tape, screw on the new spout. I even got fancy and put a bead of silicone along the back of the spout to seal to the wall. Because the back of the spout has a flat ring, it sealed perfectly without showing any goo along the edges.The seller shipped it to me in a plastic envelope, so I was a bit worried about damage. But it was so well wrapped up in bubble wrap that it arrived in perfect condition. Your seller may vary.

I was looking for a non-diverter tub spout with clean lines. This tub spout is perfect & goes well with the rest of my satin nickel bathroom fixtures.

I bought this to match a Pfister Universal Tub and Shower Trim kit in Tuscan Bronze (R90-TD1Y). You can't buy the universal kit parts separately, so I had to buy the entire kit even though it was for a whirlpool tub with no shower. I couldn't stand the thought of using a diverter spout (which came with the kit) without a shower. It would just be tacky. I called Pfister and they recommended this spout for the closest match.It looks great and perfectly matches the kit. One word of caution, though. It didn't install well using the adapters from the kit, if you're replacing a Delta faucet (can't speak for the other brands). You might have to get creative or "man handle" the adapter to make it work. I couldn't get the adapter to screw into the spout (the spout is too narrow at the front end). My husband was able to carefully use a pair of pliers (wrapped in cloth) to screw it in far enough, though (problem solved).This is a heavy, solid piece of metal. FABULOUS quality (way, way better than the 1990's Delta spout I was replacing, which was plastic with a chrome coating). It looks nice, too. I know that people tend to look down on Pfister, but I've found their stuff to be better than Delta or Moen, which both seem to be more and more plasticky these days.Pfister's customer service was great and clearly domestic (I contacted them about trouble installing the rest of the trim kit). I was able to speak to a real person twice, both at unusual hours on different days. It was the same man, twice, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Bought a "like-new" version of this spout from the Amazon Warehouse options for $18, which is about 1/4 of what they retail for. Honestly I had to really look over it a few times to find any scratches, but it might as well be new. What a great bargain, AND it fits the Pfister (formerly Price Pfister) shower trim I'm retrofitting in this Tuscan Bronze variant of oil brushed bronze! It can be a pain to track down the exact parts you need for a project, but it's so rewarding when you find the right parts for a great price! Amazon Prime 1 day shipping was super convenient as well.
