The good and the badOk the good. I purchased this to help supplement my suspected low progesterone levels. I currently cannot speak to its effectiveness yet as I’ve only been using the product for a week so far. I will update my review after seeing if my progesterone levels are rising in my lab work.Now, some of the reviews say it helps with their PMS symptoms and mood swings. And I absolutely can attest to that. It is helping to curb my mood swings down from a 10/10 to a 5/10 which is a dramatic change for someone who has severe PMDD and thought there would never be a way to lessen it.The Bad.Couple things. Heart palpitations? I’ve seen a couple other reviews mention them and I can attest that I have had them as well. I apply the cream morning and night, and usually when I apply at night is when I will get them. Nothing too crazy, but all heart palpitations are nerve racking even when minor.I’ve also had a low grade headache while using it. Nothing extreme. 2-3/10 headache throughout the day.So in total, for ME a couple small heart palpitations and a very minor headache every so often is something I’m willing to put up with, to get relief from my severe PMS symptoms and also increase my fertility and chances of conceiving.My mother also tried the product as well and she did not complain of any heart palpitations so I know it isn’t a symptom for *everyone* just some people. She tried it for her menopause symptoms and she said it helped her tremendously as well.So all and all, a good product for PMS, Fertility, and Menopause. With a couple potential side effects that may or may not be a deal breaker for you.

March 5, 2016 - I just ordered this cream & hope & pray it can give me some relief from my Peri-menopausal symptoms. I am 56 now and have been experiencing heat waves at night since I was 53, 3 yrs ago& It's been miserable! The heat waves are tolerable, but far worse is the depression & off-balance, anxious feeling. I've been thinking all along, it was just due to stress & grieving over traumatic events in my life... It was horrible. But, I've rebuilt my life now & it is good, no genuine worries... a wonderful, loving husband...so WHY do I still feel this way?? I have lost my desire for most everything, confidence in the drain & depressed to the point of waking up dreading the day & feeling life is meaningless. But, I'm reading now that this may be part of Peri-menopause & maybe I have low Progesterone. My Gyno put me on a low-dose estradiol patch a few yrs back & it seems to help a tad... But still suffering. I've never taken an anti-depressant, but am tempted to try them if this does not help. However, I had a younger sister who's life was not helped, but was destroyed by long-term anti-depressant use, so I DO NOT want to consider it! I also began seeing a therapist hoping to address any lingering grieving that I need to do.... I want to feel whole again! I will definitely report back to let others know if this helps at all.May 2, 2016 - 2 mos later. OH MY GOODNESS. I have felt better from the very first morning I woke up... NO HEAD IN THE DRAIN!! No more miserable self-loathing, life is pointless/meaningless thoughts!!! Every single day... very consistently... I have felt good... happy...more energy...and no side effects that I can tell. Every single day since, I have felt OK, getting back to my old self... regaining my confidence too. The anxiety is less, but not gone... I'd say 85% better & I can handle that. I am enjoying every day, laughing & more available to care about & love others.I've been to the counselor also 3 times & did work to clear some residual loss issues. But, guess what? She's a woman about my age, mid 50's, that says she was feeling similar a few years back & saw Dr. who tested her hormone levels & she is using a blend of bio-identical creams herself! She loaned me a book, now reading, called "Natural Hormone Balance" by Uzzi Reiss, M.D./OBGYN.I asked my new Dr. if it was OK for me to use, especially since I already had breast cancer at 47. He said YES, but that I should stop using the synthetic Estradiol patch. New research is confirming that it is the HIGH ESTROGEN in relation to Progesterone that is causing many health issues. I did go off the patch & heat waves are about the same. But they start about 3-4 in the a.m. & only 1-2... so i usually get back to sleep... I can live with that!Also have researched a bunch about Endocrine disorders being caused by Chronic Stress. So why are doctors still handing out anti-depressants like candy without even testing our hormone levels?

I was talking to my (OBGYN ) friend and she said I needed to start taking progesterone. Why, I asked. I don't have any menopausal symptoms. She assured me that women over 35 should add progesterone to their life since its slowly depleting. Literally, the next month, I started my period 14 days after my last cycle. ok. NOW I'm having symptoms. Like every women, I hate that time of the month and if I can prevent irregular, more often periods, I am going to! I started with a different cream that was very greasy and felt like it never absorbed into my skin. I switched to Source naturals and was impressed right away at how quickly it soaked into my skin (still a light greasy feel but nothing compared to the other brand). After using this product about 6 months now, I am back to my regular cycle. Yippee!! It didn't happen right away-maybe 3 months to get back on track, but I apply this morning and night for 3 weeks, off 1 week (during menstrual cycle).I would give this 5 stars if they sold this in a measured pump dispenser. The brand I started with had a measured pump amount and I got used to the amount needed. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known. Pretty sure I'm getting the right dose but its never a definite. hopefully close enough. I do recommend this for best absorbing progesterone cream and best rice as well!
