Thermos Sipp 18 Ounce Stainless Steel Tritan Hydration Bottle, BlackHydration Bottle

I had purchased the 16 oz. Thermos Funtainers for my daughters to keep their water cold at the beach. I was SO impressed with the performance of their bottles that I sought to purchase one for me! I did originally want the one with the straw, but this bottle is completely fine. I work 12-hr shifts at a hospital and love that the lid closes over the mouth piece. No germs! And absolutely no sweating on the outside of the container. I only fill the ice up half way and a day later, I still have cubes clinking in there! Sometimes I'll fill my bottle up with water from our fridge and that works fine too - hours later it is still very cold and refreshing. I like how it is not overly huge - I can throw it in my tote bag with no worries of leakage. I have had it for two weeks and haven't had a leak yet. I also love the style of this bottle. Simple. Easy to clean.

I have Sjogrin's Syndrome, which means my mouth (and eyes) get drier than a desert, esp. during the night. I have purchased many, many water bottles in search of the perfect one. This is it. I can keep it on the night stand and the lid keeps it from being knocked over and getting water on my books or phone. I love that it is stainless. The water stays fresh and cold all night long. The lid pops open easily without thought or effort so when I'm only half awake, I still don't fumble with it. My lips and mouth are also kind of numb and the drinking spout makes it easy to drink without spilling/dribbling.I only put water in this. I had a purple one similar to this and one day when I was in a hurry to get out the door, I put coffee in it. I still can't get the coffee flavor out after many washings so now the purple one is my coffee thermos and my blue one is water only.Most people probably wouldn't think of a water bottle as life changing but this water bottle has made my life so much less exasperating. I have purchased several of these thermoses and I have some very strong opinions of them. They are great in so many ways, but terrible in one critical component--the lid breaks very easily.Pros: Elegant design. My wife loves the color. Simply beautiful. Keeps your drink (i.e. water) cold for a long time--works great!! The lid has a very comfortable design and is very functional and convenient. The metal bottom is well built and sturdy.Cons: The lids BREAK VERY EASILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are multiple "weak-points" on the lid that are very brittle and fragile, including the clasp and hinge.I have had four of these thermoses and they have all been PERFECT. That is, until the slightest bump to the lid causes it to break. There are numerous pieces of the lid that will easily crack or break, leaving you with a completely useless item. I was able to get a "one-time courtesy replacement" of one of the lids from the Thermos company, but unfortunately it broke too!This seems to be a theme with Thermos--they make really great products that have very aesthetic designs and are very functional and pleasing, but their lids have weak spots that break easily, leaving you feeling sad because you loved it so much. Extremely disappointing.To Thermos®: PLEASE MAKE YOUR LIDS MORE DURABLE!! You are killing me!

I was skeptical that this thermos could keep my drink hot for 12 hours, but alas it proved me wrong. Well, perhaps "hot" is a bit of a stretch----it'll keep my drink hot for about several hours and warm for the remaining 6+ hours or so. I tested it. Before I left for work, I filled it up with hot water and a steeping tea bag. I didn't drink from it too much, and the next morning, more than 12+ hours later, it was still warm. The trick is to refrain from opening the lid/leaving it open too much. There's a downside, though: if you fill it with piping-hot water, don't expect to be able to drink from it until several hours later. I usually just leave the lid off until I get it just cool enough to drink from it. I also love the fact that this is 18 ounces--that means less trips for refills! Also wanted to mention the color Amazon has pictured is a little off. I thought the silver was a little more whiteish-silver; it's just your regular brushed silver aluminum. Another plus is that the outside isn't affected by the heat inside, so the bottle is cool to the touch as if nothing were inside, which can't be said with other "double-wall insulated" bottles I've owned.One concern I have, though, which has been addressed by some other reviewers, is the durability of the lid. It's plastic, which is fine, but it's also (I believe) spring-operated. You have to push a button to pop open the lid. I'm really good about keeping my stuff in good condition, but in the past, these types of spring mechanisms typically fail sooner rather than later. Again, I haven't had any issues...yet, that is. I'm pretty sure one drop or one bang and the lid will break, rendering the thermos useless. Needless to say, I thought this thermos was pretty pricey, so though it's replaceable, it's not a cheap replacement to have to do too often.I haven't tried to use this for cold drinks yet, but I'm sure it'll stay cool just the same, which will come in very handy as it begins to heat up in SoCal.

My wife loves to take hot and/or cold drinks to work with her-- we have tried over the years SO many different containers and they always had a problem until this one. Everything about it works very wellThe cap is durable and well oriented to allow for actually drinking. Everything stays very cold and/or very warm for hours and hours. It's a big size but still fits into standard car cup holders. Easy to hold. And after many washes the finish holds up nicely. A good one indeed.

I use this for cold drinks, mostly SodaStream, and it keeps them cold for hours!!!

Not as leak proof as some of the tests would have us believe.I have had this flask for over a year and yes it has problems.Firstly, it is a fantastic thermos. I have had drinks retain heat over 24 hours after being left in the car. Ok, they weren’t ‘hot’ but they certainly weren’t cold either.On the leak proof side though it just isn’t.Also the lid is a bit fragile and considering it’s size (the lid) it does seem to attract knocks.The thread on the plastic lid is prone to heat degradation. Over the time I’ve had it the plastic thread became brittle and snapped off in pieces, which probably didn’t help with the leaks.The reason for the negative review is that Thermos sell replacement lids for most of their products - but not this one.As I said when I bought this it was in a league of its own for thermal retention. Now though, there are several other flasks with very similar abilities which are more ‘leak proof’, cost less and with lids that aren’t as fragile.

Loves these bottles.... Perfect for sipping water and it's still remains super cold. Awesome for smoothies too, when I want to bring them to work. Haven't tried any hot liquids yet.

Looks nice, doesn't leak, and keeps things at their initial temperature. Put warm and cold drinks in there, and it kept them the right temperature. So good product, love it.

Really nice! Slim footprint fits all bottle holders. keeps cold / hot very well. looks nice. great for fast drinkers like myself.
