I am not sure, but it is compatible with all standard M. 2 drives for the PS5

I'd say it would work with any except for the fact that the included "thermal tape" is fairly thick about 2mm and is pre-applied by means of a strong adhesive. Due to this some thicker SSD's could have excessive pressure put on them. It would have been much better if multiple sizes of non-adhesive thermal pads had been included. I mean it costs $20usd and there are other adequate ssd heatsinks that cost half as much that include as many as 3 different size sets of thermal pads

Q: Can you remove the original ps5 heat sink cover and have the ssd open for more efficient cooling instead of using a heat sink?

When I didn't have a heatsink the PS5 ran really hot. I wouldn't recommend it for long term use.

Q: Does this heatsink make full contact with the controller on Xpg S70 blade ssd?

just make sure the XPG S70 is not come with heat sink then it should be fine. I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NS6TQND/
