BOUGHT 2 OF THESE FOR MY UNICORN STUFFED ANIMAL COLLECTION. ONLY THE HOOKS WORK WITH THE THINGIES THAT OPEN UP IN THE WALL. BOTH ARE FULL OF UNICORNS.

It's a plastic chain with approx 1 inch (2.75 cm) links and 20 clips (I got 6 blue, 6 green, 8 yellow) with brass hooks and a loop on each clip for making chains of clips/animals off of the support chain. Since the chain is only rated for 10 lbs (4.5 kg), you might as well save your walls and use highest rated command or other non-damaging stick-on hooks to hang it. As a product, this is the perfect solution for hanging/displaying stuffed animals that are 6 inches (15 cm) or less in length -- about the size of a beanie baby animal -- if you want a single line of evenly spaced animals about every 4 links. It's also good for holding baby stuff like rattles, pacifiers, the requisite stuffed animals that people send for the baby, etc -- if you use it for this purpose, the ability to make chains of clips is alone worth getting this setup so you can group things by type. If you are planning to hang large stuffed animals, the clips might not open/compress enough to hold them, but you can thread elastic through the loop on a clip and use that to hold the animal (and still use the clip part for another, much smaller animal or that animal's accessories) -- the benefit of doing this on the clip instead of directly on the chain is that you only have to tie it once and then just move the clip around if you need to rearrange your setup.Overall, it's a pretty good product if you know what to expect. However, unless you want clips/stuffed animals to rain down on you, the hooks on the clips can and should be compressed (with pliers) to halve the gap so that they can still be removed with effort.

This has proven to be an excellent solution to all of the stuffed animal clutter in a bedroom. My daughter has a pet net, which has been a fantastic option for the 40,000 buddies she has. My son has a much smaller collection and we were looking for something that would take up less space. This has been a wonderful solution!This comes with a chain, mounting hardware (for ceiling mounting), and 20 assorted clips in yellow, green and blue. The clips are sturdy and have a metal hook at the end, allowing them to easily be placed on any ring of the chain you need. I've been able to hang well over 20 stuffed animals...even larger ones. Each clip is strong enough to hold at least 2 buddies if you can figure out a way to get them close enough together to share the clip. I've had no problems with animals falling down or out of the clips.This is also wonderful because my 3 year old can easily access and remove any of the buddies he wants. He can even rehang some of them, though if you have a lot and they're really close together that's still more of a parent job. I would guess we have over 30 animals on there most of the time, with at least a foot of chain up high that could still be used. If we didn't have it in a corner we would have room for even more. I would also guess this could be hung along the ceiling by anchoring both ends up high (if you didn't want daily access).I wish this came with more clips, but I understand why they make you purchase more ($$$!).Overall this has been a wonderful purchase that both 3 year old and mom are very happy with!

As a busy mom working two jobs, running two blogs, and with a side hustle I am always on the look out for anything unexpected I can find to make my life easier. Sick of lugging big water bottles around I bought a bunch of those super cheap Cool Gear branded ones at less than a buck each. My problem? Storing them but making them easy to grab and go. Desperate for a cheap solution I scoured Amazon for a way to store them that would let my 7 year old be able to reach hers without having to climb cupboards. This chain turned out to be the perfect (cost effective!!!) fix. I hanged it on the end of a metal storage shelf we have (kinda like  AmazonBasics 4-Shelf Shelving Unit - Chrome ) and I hang them by their lids on each clip.The only thing keep this from a higher rating is the lightweight quality of the chain. If I were using it for stuffed animals I don't think it could hold up to my child using it frequently. If you're looking for an odd use with very light items like I did though you'll probably think it's just fine.

My 18-month-old loves her stuffed animals. I got really tired of tossing them all back into a plastic tub at the end of the day and it felt like an eyesore in her room. It took me all of 3 minutes to grab the drill and drill bit from the garage, put a small, pencil-sized hole in the ceiling, and pop the anchor up inside. The chain holds the weight of 20 animals with NO problem and stands up to her shaking of the chain as well. I love that the hooks can be moved around on this chain (on some other brands they're fixed) because I can put her little animals closer together and big ones spaced farther apart so we can enjoy all of their faces.To the reviewers complaining about the anchor, I don't understand the fuss AT ALL. Putting an anchor into sheetrock takes very little time at all, is totally worth the extra strength (I don't care that it's only stuffed animals--if the chain fell on her, it would be startling at the very least!), and it would cost you $5 at Home Depot to buy spackle to fill the hole when you're done with the chain. I'm not the handiest person around the house and it still was NO BIG DEAL. Installing the chain without the anchor simply because you've never used spackle is just plain silly. Do you also avoid hanging pictures because you have to put a nail in the wall?

So far so good! I was a bit concerned in the beginning since the chain is just plastic. We attached one end into the wood jam (we drilled a small hole for the screw hook to go into), then on the other end we drilled a larger home into the sheetrock, popped in the anchor and screwed in the hook. Then our 9 year old took her time to arrange and hang up her small stuffiest so they were closer by but not right in her loft bed.

This is a great way to store toys but it's not so great with a really young kid. My daughter is 2.5 and as soon as she saw the chain, her eyes lit up and she shrieked, "I SWING!". So I had to put another hook in the ceiling and hang the other end up so she couldn't swing on it. Also, when you hang each end off a hook, it kinda highlights all the stuffies so my daughter is always asking us to take one down. After 1 day, it was half empty. Ah well, was worth a shot.Summary: If your other option is a plastic bag, go for this instead. Otherwise, try a toy hammock.

We have just installed this, and I hope the plastic chain is stronger than other reviewers have suggested. The clips attache with small copper links, and these can easily be bent to close tightly around the chain--they won't fall off if you do this. Great for storing our puppet collection.

This is the best thing I came by for keeping stuffed animals organized. I bought one, then bought another. They can hold a good sized stuffy on the clips. Great Product.

Found the chain to be fairly sturdy and loved that there are lots of hooks.Only downfall is that the hooks do fall off fairly easily.Overall though, the product works good and I'm happy it was a good solution to de-clutter and consolidate my son's stuffed animals.

It works great and comes with lots of clips to hang stuffed animals. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but I'm still happy I ordered it.
