My suggested installation proccess (jetson bolt pro)
The product itself works perfectly, but the installation requires some basic DIY stuff which anyone careful should be able to handle. For the Jetson Bolt Pro, you will at least need to open the main bike housing and plug/unplug some things, as well as splice some wires. It shouldn't require any tools other than a hex key, pliers and some electrical tape. The fix from the other review is helpful but it will leave you a bunch of cable to deal with (PITA). Here's how I did it:0. Open the main housing for all the bike internals and disconnect the old throttle, so you don't accidentally short something. It's both one of the largest diameter wires, and the only plug with 6 colored wires coming out of it. Maybe watch a youtube tutorial if it's your first time.1. Remove the wire tidy (spring looking thing wrapped around the cables) near the handlebars and cut the old throttle cable about 3-4 inches from where it goes into the throttle, leaving around 2-3 inches hanging out of where the cables go into the head tube. Be careful not to lose the cut cable into the head tube.2. Loosen the brake handle with a hex key.3. Twist the brake to reveal the small hex bolt holding the old throttle to the handlebar. Slide the old throttle off the handlebar.4. Slide on the new throttle, making sure the entire assembly is together with the silver ring and new small bolt. Cut the new throttle cable about 6 inches from the unit, ensuring there's a couple inches of overlap between the new and old cable if you lay them on top of each other.5. Carefully strip and splice the two loose ends together, although there should be just enough extra cable to save you if you botch something once. Our fix will actually be backwards to other review; follow this order:New cable (coming from the new throttle) -> Old cable (what you left running through the bike)Black -> BlackRed -> RedGreen -> GreenBlue -> YellowYellow -> WhiteWhite -> BlueOnce you don't have any bare wire exposed, you can re-attach the plug and test the new throttle, feeling for heat and checking your connections are good.6. Position and tighten the new throttle and brake. If needed, you can lightly tug or push slack into the head tube to help hide the splice job. Replace the wire tidy.7. Re-attach any wires which are still disconnected, and close up the main bike housing. If you measured well enough, this arrangement should put your splice job right underneath the wiring tidy, or just inside the head tube, out of sight :) You won't be able to avoid splicing no matter which way you install this, as the plug is wired incorrectly, and this way is much more convenient as it does not require you to route the wire through the entire frame, or otherwise find a way to deal with hiding all the new cable.Side note: the issue with these stupid assemblies is that the return spring will pop out of its seat, so if you have a free-spinning but otherwise lit old throttle, you can *try* to get the handle off and re-seat the spring. I wasn't able to do it without destroying the old magnetic bar, but you may have better luck. Works IF properly rewired as described by Mikolajczak in review section.
Like others, I tried the 'plug and play,' and the wiring almost immediately started to smoke. I immediately unplugged the wires. I then followed the simple (3 wire) rewiring as described by Mikolajczak in the reviews. It now works as intended with the display lighting up as normal and the headlight and cruise control are now operational as well. Installed in Jetson Bolt Pro.

This is not a a good replacement for Jetson Bolt
There is no bigger mistake than buying this for a replacement throttle for a Jetson Bolt. First, there is no possible way that any average person has the tools to do this. Secondly, after having the bike shop try to do it, they could not get the battery indicator, nor the cruise control to work. It took them three days to just get the throttle to work and only after having to rewire it. The connections are not the same!!!

3 of 6 wires needed changed
Bought this for my Jetson Bolt. Tried to “plug and play“ in the wiring became warm. I had to cut and reroute three of the six colored wires to match the existing configuration. Works great now!

Replaces Jetson 36V electric bike throttle
Direct replacement for the original throttle. Feeding the new cable into place was challenging but far from rocket surgery. I simply attached a 15-pound braided fishing line to the original cable, worked the plug past the various obstacles, and then used the fishing line to pull the new cable into place.
