I stapled a bamboo read shade to a framework and used it for my arbor. I needed to undo all those staples so that I could have a gutter put on my roof. I couldn’t imagine being up there on a ladder, trying to undo the staples with a screwdriver. Fortunately, I found this tool online. One of the beauties about it is when you lift up the staple it doesn’t shoot across the room you can use your index finger to control the staples. There were hundreds of staples I had to remove and it went very quickly.

Unfortunately I started my reupholstery project 4 days after the return date expired. Wish I had better luck like many of these reviewers, maybe mine was just a lemon. The staple remover completely fell apart in my hand after using it for about 45 minutes. It was very difficult to get it under the staples. Lesson: start using a tool right away to be sure it works. I'll try putting it back together, but now I don't trust it. I'll try something else.

Once you get the feel of this nifty tool, almost no staple can be a match for you, no matter how buried it is in the wood or fabric. You'll be able to leverage nearly any staple in your path. I had to rip up all the rugs in my 2 story apartment, and this tool gave me staple remover super powers. I wish there was another version that is the exact same tool but with a narrower head for very narrow staples.

I'm gradually replacing carpet in my house with plank flooring. Removing the carpet pad always left a lot of staples. Removing the staples was a bit time consuming, but this tool made it fast & easy.

I love it, works great and less strength needed.
