This is a 12" chain. I looked up the MS 250 and it seems to have an 18" bar? If so, it won't fit.

It should work fine for you since it has a 12" bar installed. I have a commercial Stihl pole saw kit and it works fine for me.

61 is the Stihl code for pitch and gauge. PMM is an abbreviation for "Picco Micro Mini" (look at the Stihl website if you want to know more about their coding). The "C" stands for "comfort." The PMMC chain was originally a low-vibration version of PMM chain. My understanding is that the original design was phased out and replaced with the "comfort" design so that no matter which one you buy today you're getting "PMMC" design chain whether the label has the C or not. Either way, 61-PMMC3 and 61-PMM3 are interchangeable in terms of fit.
