Neotech Mandolin/Ukulele Strap - Adjustable Padded Neoprene Strap, Black
B**N
Mine came will all of the pictured pieces, and is the most versatile strap I've ever owned.
At first, I was disappointed because the way it shipped made it appear that the 'comfortable' part of the strap was going to end up on my back no matter what I tried. Then I realized that there are several detachable pieces, and you can mix and match them to make the 'comfortable' part sit wherever you want it to. You can also disconnect the strap using those same detachable links, and leave the end pieces attached to your instrument so you won't wear it out by attaching and detaching it.It's not going to win and 'best looking strap' awards. It's pretty plain, but it's functional, comfortable, and durable. That's pretty important too.*edit*I used this at a gig on Saturday night. The strap worked fine - although I have a few additional comments.I'm using this on an F style mandolin. The included scroll attachment works, however it's a little thin. When I set my mandolin down to play a different instrument, the strap managed to slip off the scroll several times. It would work better if the scroll attachment were the same thickness of the strap. Also, I use a wireless pack. I didn't even think of this when I bought this strap, but it's sort of tough to attach a wireless pack anywhere on this strap. I managed to jam it in the extension part and strap it in there, but then it was right in the way of my arm.None of this is a deal killer. The strap is still great. It's pretty comfortable, and if they had a cradle strap for a banjo, I'd consider buying one of those too.*edit 9/1/2019I've gigged this strap on an f style mandolin since 2017. I just replaced the old leather strap on my backup f style mandolin with this after I realized I hate my leather strap. It's been a great, comfortable strap. Also - I just noticed - it's made in the USA!*Edit 2/23/2021I still love this strap!

Psst! It works for lutes too!
I now have three of these straps. I use two of them on my tenor ukuleles and one on my Renaissance lute. For the latter, just slip it between the two lowest pegs and cinch lightly.A traditional lutenist would use a ribbon, but I prefer the pragmatism and comfort of an adjustable and lightly stretchable neoprene strap. And yes, these are excellent for ukuleles as they keep the instrument more stable than a strap that goes from the bottom of the lower bout to the rear/base of the neck. I don't have to use my fretting hand to support the neck and this makes it great for fingerstyle ukulele.

Perfect for your travel guitar, ukulele bass, or mandolin
I am a big fan of neoprene rifle slings and guitar straps, so when I bought a ukulele bass and a travel guitar, the search was on for a neoprene strap for same. The search ended with this product and I bought two, with which I am extremely satisfied. As far as I am concerned, nothing else will do. I recommend these without reservation. Six stars out of five.

Neotech Mandolin/Ukulele Strap
I bought this strap to put on my tenor ukulele. I tried putting the upper "leash" part of the strap right above the nut as suggested, but found the strap kinda got in the way of my left, fretting hand. Because the head stock is narrow enough, I ended up re-positioning the upper leash on the head stock between the two sets of tuners. Hope that makes sense. That position worked just great, with the shoulder strap now out of the way of my hand. It also took a little bit of fiddling with the various extensions to get the position of the padded shoulder strap just right. But once I figured out the proper placement it is all good. Very happy with the set up. I put another set of upper leash and lower strap button attachment parts on my second ukulele and now I can easily switch the main strap between the two ukes with ease. The little spring loaded catches that release the strap are pretty tiny and are a bit difficult to depress to detach, but it's not that big a deal since I'm not switching the strap between instruments that often.

Noetech Mandolin Strap
My son plays my A style mandolin. The strap we were using would not stay adjusted, allowing the mandolin to slide lower as he played; not a good thing for on stage. We purchased the Neotech Mandolin Strap . Though it was pricier than some mandolin straps, I bought it anyway. The strap is sturdier than the old strap we were using and the adjustment doesn't slip. It was easy to fasten to our A style mandolin & will work with an F style as well. However, there are 2 things that don't quite suit me. The strap should be able to be adjusted to a smaller size; my son is 12 years old and the mandolin hangs a bit low for him. He is adapting to this position and I'm sure he will soon grow taller, so after awhile this won't be a problem. The other thing is: the strap slipped off the rear strap button several times as my son was attempting to swing the strap up around his head to put on the mandolin. The quick release clips may take care of that problem, but they are not that handy to use while trying to strap the mandolin on. We may try to use a strap-lock to remedy that issue.

Light weight!
I was looking for a strap for my F style mandolin. I found that most F style tend to be neck heavy. This strap, when used over the right type short will hold in place. I may add a bit of thin rubber to the back of the strap to make it stick to all shirts. The quick disconnects work well. I leave the end parts on, and just release the strap connects and put it in the case. It is adjustable as well. I am 6'3", and I use it without the extensions. So I am not sure why other reviewers could not find a happy medium with smaller children, there are many possibilities in lengths, you just need to try the different extensions and adjust the strap itself. My unit came with all the strap ends. two standard hole ones, and one loop for the scroll.

Good for holding your instrument in place!
The Neotech strap makes playing my mandolin a whole lot easier! I can hold it closer, not have to hunch over, and I no longer have to prop up my foot just to keep my instrument from sliding while I'm playing. The adjustable feature is good for different mandolins/ukuleles. I like being able to stand and play my mandolin, and with this strap it is possible (and easier) for me to play!
