GOOD: I'm surprised at how good these look and animate. The many modes are actually fun and useful and dimming is nice in dark environments. Can't tell how well it works, but the ability to sample and then filter out background noise seems ambitious and helpful.BAD: The battery is weak, like REALLY weak. I plugged them in new and fully recharged then ran them for less than 45 min before they were dead! That's not acceptable at all and should be a deal breaker. It's no wonder as they're so light weight. The battery must be incredibly small. Why be so cheap? It's a sad oversight and a slap in the face to offer battery power that's fairly useless. They'll likely run fine as long as plugged in but then you have to run a wire to each from USB-A port.Minor issue is poor product design with the 3 buttons on the back. Problem is they're small and totally flush to the housing so that you can't easily find them by feel. You have to pick up the bar and turning is around to see where the buttons are if you don't want to fumble with trying to guess where buttons are. If they were raised a bit it would be fine and easy to use.

Not sure why I was expecting more from this, but after fully charging both units out of the box, 1 of the units just won’t sync up with the other and will not consistently react to the music playing. The other unit is not nearly as affected as the other. Tried reading the horribly phrased instructions to troubleshoot but to no avail, but again, hard to understand and translate the meaning behind the instructions/manual. For its performance as is, it’s not the worst product, just don’t expect much. Also, battery life on the rechargeable units are trash. Even after fully charging the batteries and messing with the suggested settings to improve response, after 20-30 minutes on, was about 50% battery left

Lights worked for 20 minutes then 1 unit changed from all red leds to another function and could not program back to all red leds.

They look great , really short battery life, you may as well leave them plugged in.

The media could not be loaded.  Super responsive and colorful highly recommend.
