I am a firefighter and Fire Chief, and have 11 flash lights of different types in my vehicle, and two different headlamps. The other one is a bit cheaper than this LED Lenser, and is my backup. My go to headlamp is this LED Lenser. The knob came off on the back, that you turn to increase the brightness, but that hasn't been a big deal. I didn't need the rechargeable battery, as a fire department we get flooded with AA batteries so that's not a problem. The longevity of the batteries is decent, but if you have a lamp this bright you cannot expect a very long battery life. But it still lasts me through several emergencies before I proactively replace the batteries so that they don't die on me in the middle of a call when I don't have the time or nerve to switch it.The adjustment of the brightness is better than any other lamp I have had, and the zoom is simply fantastic. Often enough it ended up being my lamp that was used exclusively as it can work as a work light for a small group. Even if this one breaks at some point with my rough use, I will get the same one again. Bought this on August 4, 2015, and we are in September of 2019.

Have been using this headlamp every day at work for almost 4 years. Works perfectly & goes for days on a charge. You can adjust the brightness and beam , spot or flood, in seconds. Makes a ton of light or just enough. Has a rechargeable battery or will work with AA batteries. Keep some handy, and you always have a working headlamp. Have used it outside in the rain. No problem. Have purchased three so far. Did finally have a problem with the first one. Sent it back for repairs on warranty. They sent me a complete new headlamp. Very impressed with the headlamp and the manufacturer support. New headlamps have a 7-year warranty.

One of the best lights on a headlamp! Although there are some issues, when looking for animals and hiking I've found brightness (lumens), number of different modes, and the ability to focus light are key!Comparison vs. Princeton Tec Apex:Light:+ LED lenser's is brighter and has the ability to focus to a more narrow, concentrated beam of light. These features are what make it one of the best headlamps.Modes:+ Both LED Lenser and Princeton Tec models have enough light modes for any situation. In some cases you won't want the light at maximum brightness whether it is to save battery or to take pictures without brightening things up too much.Construction:- Princeton Tec is by far the more rugged of the two. It is waterproof and much more solidly constructed. LED Lenser's is made of cheaper plastic and materials.- LED Lensers button placement is a bit annoying. There's a big, easy to push, button on the back that invariably is TOO EASY to push and ALMOST ALWAYS gets pushed while travelling. It doesn't turn the headlamp on but turns on a small red light that drains the battery over time. Not something you want to figure out when you need light. This is the biggest downfall of this light.UPDATE: light started to malfunction, seems to be faulty cable connection.

This headlamp is well balanced, comfortable to wear, the battery life is great and produces an unbelievable bright white light. It works great when I'm snow blowing because it lights up everything around me and when I working by the road...vehicles can definitely see me. Just a shipping note..since this is coming directly from the manufacturer, don't expect to receive the package in two or three days.

The headlamp is awesome. I've tried other headlamps sold in stores but nothing compares to this one. I work on furnaces so I'm always in a basement where the lighting varies from house to house but I don't have to worry anymore. I also use it riding my bike at night. Turns out you really don't look like a dork wearing it either as people ask me to use it all the time. 5 out of 5 stars all day long. I can wake my neighbors up across the street with this thing on turbo mode. Not kidding either about that. Perfect

I spent days reading through reviews and google searching for the longest lasting headlamp around 500 lumens and this is the one I choose. I tried a few high rated off amazon and they all died so quickly. I am a mechanic and need my light to last for hours at a time. I have charged this twice since I have purchased it. I am averaging one charge a week right now with heavy use. Its nice to do a 5 hour job and not have to switch headlamps out. Add 2 of these to your arsenal and never deal with low quality headlamps again.

I can't give it top marks because no light will meet my expectations. They are always just almost bright enough, the batteries last almost as long as I desire and they are a bit cheaply made due to too much reliance on Chinese parts. This one comes close and is easy to put on once adjusted. Functions are a bit more complicated than I need but basic on/off, brightness are easily set.

Nice headlamp but doesn't focus to a narrow enough beam. And is over priced.

My wife had a stroke and lost 50% of her vision. She loves doing crafts, and this headlamp has been a savior for her. not only does she use it for crafts, but often when she is cooking. Only downfall, is when she turns to talk to you, its so bright I often get blinded.

No es pequeño el frontal, pero consigue que el sol salga durante la noche. Lo he probado con un gorro y se ajusta bien (para la cabeza desnuda lo veo algo incómodo por el tamaño de la batería).Y en general es fácil de usar, 2 toques para luz roja trasera (fija o parpadeante) y 3 toques para luz frontal (plena potencia, baja potencia y estroboscópica).Muy útil para excursiones nocturnas o esquí nocturno. Gran compra de momento.Espero que funcione mejor que el H7R.2, que también es muy bueno pero dejó de cargar al poco tiempo de utilizarlo. Un chasco.

I have bought at least seven or eight over the past five or six years. They are an outstanding product. I feel they have more than paid for themselves in my work situation in the short term. Only short comings; USB plug for charging becomes worn over time and defective and the headband stretches beyond adjustment. Both shortcomings I might add appear only after vigorous daily use of up to six hours per day, five to six days a week.
