Q: I have had a problem with turf toe for 3 years. Do these work well in cleats?

I have used these for years for bunion/arthritis in big toe joint and they work well. Just size up on your shoes and you will be fine. I wear Asics size 8 but with the metal palate and orthotic I wear a 9 and it fits perfectly.

Q: What material is the metal? Stainless steel?

There is a very thin stainless steel plate, which you can see in the photo at the base of the high index rubber insert.

Q: can these be cut to fit?

Yes, the padding can be cut easily with scissors. The steel is another story.
