Mine required dealer setup!
Buying it online is not cheap, because at the end of the day I’m having to pay $$$ to get it programmed at the dealership.

You can just swap your old circuit board into this w/out programming
Here's a little hack. I have a 2009 HHR and the unlock button on my remote was wearing out. I'd have to hit it 20 times to unlock the door. The dealer wanted $101 for a new remote plus labor charges to program it. I bought this unit, figured I'd try to program myself then bring to the dealer if I couldn't do it. At least I'd save most of the $101. When I got this, I opened it and put the circuit board from the old remote into it and it works perfectly! No programming required. For under $20.

It's working!
The two original remotes that came with my HHR went south, so I purchased this. This is working as it should be. The only down side is that I had to pay $80 to get it programmed. $130.00 for programming and the part. Still cheaper than getting it all from the dealer...

Bought this genuine GM part and worked perfectly. Also bought a knock off so I would have two FOBS, however it was CRAP and would not program.
