I got this as a gift for my mom since she wanted to make flans at home, and I have to tell you that now we expect flan at every gathering. She loves it, we love it too in every family gathering.

I was so excited to get 2 of these for a Mexican pot luck. First off the bottom of the latch is so tight against the pan I had to get a thin blade under to lift it to open the lid. I made 2 flans in my Instant pot. These should have been water tight but they were not. A lot of water inside on the flan and the caramel syrup is now watery. There was so much water I did not need a knife to run around the edge, wiggle the pan back and forth and the flan rolls around as the watery caramel was over the top of the custard and it would slide with a twisting shake of the pan. Same problem with both pans but one is worse than the other, the lid moves when clipped close. I am debating on keeping them and using in a bain marie but I really wanted to use them in my Instant Pot. I had one before that was borrowed and not returned so I needed a new one and for the pot luck decided on 2. Big mistake.
